What's your pick? Mine would be B-Hop vs. Trinidad. Trinidad came in as a monster, knocking out everyone in sight, the controversial decision against De La Hoya withstanding. Hopkins did everything right in regards to this fight, inside and outside of the ring. The knockout in the 12th was just the cherry on top of the masterful performance.
Pac-Cotto and Mayweather-Chico would be so close to what B-Hop did that I would even say they were 1B and 1C.
    Opinions?

    I think that's a very good pick.

Mine would be Pacquiao versus Cotto.

What about Hopkins-Pavlik? Faultless, and by a forty-something versus a young, undefeated world champion.

I think Mayweather looked more special versus Marquez.

Hopkins' win over Trinidad is the obvious choice, but I will submit Mosley's annihilation of Margarito as my pick.

Taking into account how sluggish and nonplused Shane looked against Mayorga, the ten month layoff prior to that fight, Mosley's age, and all the other distractions he was dealing with at the time (divorce, steroids scandal, firing Jack Mosley), the way he dominated Margarito from start to finish, employing a perfect game plan, winning damn near every second of the fight, and capping it off with a brutal knockout over a man most considered to have an indestructible iron jaw was breathtaking to witness.

Lots of great picks in this thread already, I enjoy Mosley vs. Margarito myself.

Given the expectation and hype surrounding the fight I would have thought there would be more Barrera v Hamed picks.

I think Barrera was underdog too if memory serves

MP vs MC. Pac fought the biggest and strongest fighter he has ever faced in Cotto. Not only did he beat a WW title holder but he did it in a surprisingly one sided fashion. Before this fight, MP was really untested in the WW div.

Barrera vs Morales 1 ..lots of people had written Barrera off and he proved them wrong..inspite of the terrible decision.

    some not mentioned

    hop vs tarver

    morales vs pac 1?

my fav was hop tito the build up and the fight and the KO altogether made it the best of the decade itwas in 2001, but 8 years after the fight it still the best performance by a fighter.

Hopkins this decade put out 3 good performances, but also had some ugly moments

I am a huge Trinidad fan & I would probably agree with your pick being Hopkins. However, I would not agree that he did everything right outside of the ring leading up to that fight. He really disrespected the Puerto Rican people. He has never had any class!
