I think Macklin can get this fight made. However, I suspect it will need Hatton to throw his weight around a bit and really go the whole hog for his man. If Pavlik doesn't rate Macklin too highly then fine because he might just take it as an 'easy night'. However, as for deserving it, if Macklin comes through Pirog then he has as good a claim as most out there. And if he couldnn't get Pavlik then surely something else could be made.

Pirog will beat macklin because of his great head movement with his class bob and weave style he wont be there to be hit unlike macklins previous opponents...... pirog has the best boxing ability and power out of all macklins opponents.macklin has a short reach so his only way to fight is to get on the inside and rough you up and hopefully land one of those haymakers of his.... nobody will handle macks style better than pirog. i will come on here and apologize if im wrong.

What your Christmas wish list for Irish professional boxing/boxers in 2010 lads. Here's mine

1 Neil Sinclair gets a European title fight with Rhodes. A fight Sinclair can win, without doubt.

    2. Martin Lindsay gets past Arthur, then beats Simpson, and by the end of the year is European champ.

    3. McCloskey fights Khan. I like Khan, but I'm yet to be convinced he's the superstar the English think he is.

    4. Duddy boxes and defeats Chavez jr. As much as Duddy's bubble has been burst this year, he can still handle a severely flawed boxer like Chavez.

    5. Dunne boxes Munroe and easily outpoints him, then gets another crack at a world title.

    6. Brian Magee wins the European title in Denmark.

    7. Macklin boxes Pavlik in the Garden.

    8. Andy Lee steps it up next year and becomes a fully fledged contender.

    9. Rogan comes back from injury, and boxes for a major title in Belfast.

    10. The Hyland brothers stop playing it safe, and try to capture EU or European titles.

    11. Prospects such as O'Sullivan, Dean Bryne, Frampton, Danny O'Connor and Conlon keep winning.

I'm sending my letter to Daddy Christmas right now.:yep Whats your list?

Thats a good auld list alright. I totally forgot about Magee fighting for the EBU would you ****ing believe that. My brain must be going to mush.

I'd love Sinky to do something next year. He is just a fighter I have a real soft spot for.
Linday I think can do exactly what you want. I've every faith in the boy.
McCloskey-Khan is unlikely I reckon. I think McCloskey may get a crack at something though. Just a sneaking suspicion.

My big wish for Bernard is that he doesn't move up to FW. I really do fear it ends in a devestating fashion.

Lets have the Hylands in some big fights (McCullough if he really wants it).

Lets have the boy Frampton fight over here so I can make that sign.

And lets have Paddy kiss and make up with the wee girl from OnTheRopes. Go fetch the mistletoe fella :good

You will get that chance in The Kings Hall in February, when McCloskey defends his title.Sinclair, Conlon and Frampton should be on the undercard. I will look out for your banner and have a quiet chuckle to myself.
