No such thing as just an amateur there boss :good I'd have loved to fight. I might make a late entry to boxing if I can just slim down enough to make the Super Heavyweight limit
With a bit of nous from everyone, anything is possible. For example, I've seen Paddy chat up the biggest honeys in Ireland, not a bother on him, makin' 'em wet their knickers weak for him. There's no magic formula to it, he says: He simply believes anything can be done with the proper confidence and determination. It's starting to rub off on me. With everyone's contacts, and roping all our friends in, the right venue (the North)...well, stranger things have happened. Unlikely in the current climate for sure, but not impossible by any means.
Don't get me wrong I'd love to see it. I'm all for it. Theres a lot of bread involved in putting on a decent card mind you, don't forget that. I'd hate to see anyone take a bath on such a venture. As for chatting up the honeys. I think Paddy has been reading Sun Tzu's Art of War. Know your enemy and all that !!!
I heard he dropped his opponent twice... and won every round. All judges had him ahead- but he got caught in the 8th! If he would have taken the six rounder he would have had an impressive win!!!
well if paddy can get the hotest mots in ireland--anything is possible-we should aim for croker, who would be top of the bill..:happy and im just playing paddy
Bernard Dunne was on the radio today. Still running but not back in the ring yet. He is making a comeback and weighing up his options. Mentioned "The European Route" as one possibility and "move up to featherweight" as the other. He said the team would gather in the new year to decide. Was in great form I can't wait to see him back in the ring. He was saying how exciting it was to have the 3 lads in the 160 division but personally he thinks Macklin is slightly edging it but that Peters had a huge cash cow waiting for him in the O2. The MC jokingly asked if he would coach them but he said seriously that later in life he would like to stay in boxing and hoped to get involved with the AIBA as a possibility!
Ha! He had some serious moobs going on! I'm not that bad. Looking to drop 20lbs ish to make amateur MW. I've always wanted to have 1 legitimate fight. Just turned 28 now so now I realise time for that is running short. I know I'm not old by any stretch but for an auld slob who has never boxed properly time is ticking by. I'm hoping to hammer myself into some sort of shape by June. Need to drop about 20lbs which is a big ask for a joe soaper like me. Lets see if i have the discipline! Maybe myself and yourself can go toe to toe on Paddy, Podge and Ardy's ESB Pro-Am card :good
I have been gambling with the thoughts of getting back into training again it's been ten yrs since I was a member of a club .but the only problem here is there's none just plain boxing clubs its all mma shite and $100 a month member fee which I haven't got , I also need to lose the ned kelly to fight at middleweight . Is there anything on the cards fight wise for paddys days hoping to come home for a few wks and would be nice to take the missus to a few fights.
