Undecided. I would've said Kessler a month ago.

Pavlik ****ing uppercuts off his hooks. With both hands, FFS... :rofl This is like comparing 2-D animation to CGI.

But alot of these people, who are mostly non-athletes I suspect, are blinded by Kessler's faster speed and mobility. Kessler has always been the better athlete, Pavlik has always been the better fighter, and the more complete fighter by some measure. 20 seconds of comparing footage would confirm this for any boxing observer who isn't a ****ing idiot. That last aspect is a doozy though.

Both guys are very basic in their styles and both do much of the same thing on the outside. However, I'm going with Pavlik because he actually has an inside game.

Good observations. Pavlik also has a much better left hand than Kessler. Mikkel's jab is probably a bit stiffer, but KP can do things with jabs and hooks that Kessler hasn't even thought of.

I wouldn't call either of them "complete" fighters, but if I had to choose, I'd say Kessler. Still, I think Pavlik would knock him out.

Pavlik is superior to the Kessler who fought Ward, although Ward had his referee to allow him to use his head.

Kessler's the most complete in the sense that he's the better well-rounded one. But Pavlik's much more dynamic than Kessler.

Other than the fact that they both have good jabs, and both can lay a poor soul out with a 1-2, they are very different fighters.

Forget Pavlik/Espino, and put the past year out of your mind for one brief moment. Picture Pavlik in top form. Now put Andre Ward in front of KP. How many head butts and low blows would KP take before Ward caught a viscious elbow across his face and a knee to the nuts?

I'm not assuming Pavlik can beat Ward. I'm just pointing out a graphic illustration of why I say Pavlik and Kessler are very different fighters. Kessler may be technically better than Pavlik in certain ways, but in a fire fight, my money goes on Kelly.

Guys, kelly is a very good fighter, but Kessler is a better one...if they ever fought, Kessler's footwork, handspeed, and chin would be the difference in the fight.

Should have been a draw but since that option wasnt there I picked Pavlik due to the quality of opposition he has defeated.
