pac's experience fighting in different weight classes against a very diverse list of opponents will serve him well throughout the Mayweather fight...also, it helps when you have a trainer like Freddie Roach to come up with several gameplans.

But, again, I'm not getting excited about this fight until I actually see both men in the ring. I just have this strange feeling that this fight will not come off.

 

stylistically pac has not been fighitng very diverse as of late. his last 3 fights he fought lefthand-dominant fighters who liked to come forward and suddenly he's fighting the slickest dude in the sport.

i just think the sudden shift of styles will be really awkward for pac.

 

Don't underestimate Hatton's speed, DLH's chin, or Miguel Cotto's resolve. These fights, along with the 2 JMM fights will prove to be enough if the fight ever happens...the only variable Pac hasn't displayed in his last 10 fights is his ability to cut off the ring effectively against a fleet-footed counterpuncher...I thought the idea of pac fighting Yuri Foreman was a very good idea...if he can't cut off the ring against Yuri, he wouldn't have much luck against May.

i would have preferred it also if pac fought someone who fought remotely close to floyd just so he gets the idea of what to expect come fight night, because i reiterate his last 3 fights offer LITTLE help as to what to expect from floyd. they didnt try neutralize his left nor show movement, never threw right hands, and most importantly never gave him really varied looks. and people shouldnt be too naive as to think that its just going to be run, potshot, run, repeat. floyd operates on a much more complex level.
