research. you need to stop the heroworship. r u kidding me. you compare 1 punch by bruno and 1 punch by tucker to the walcott and vingo and charles fight. that's pathetic! Against Douglas holyfield 2x lewis he was challenged and lost. he basically quit against danny and that big bum who ko'd him last. I repeat, he never won in a battle of attrition that took heart and tenacity to win. Your examples are a joke. The rudduck fight is the 1 time he won a tough fight. :rasta

49-0 is more impressive as a record, but I do think Tyson beat better competition in his first 37 fights by a small but noticeable margin.

you're weak statement is a joke. you said tyson never beat any opponent you who fought back with power. and you're wrong. period. you're examples are have nothing to do with that. in the losses to douglas, holyfield and lewis, tyson got outclassed and outboxed. but folding up like a tent? how? he got outperformed plain and simple. you would say the same for every fighter that gets beat especailly to two guys that a re HOF fighters. then how dumb do you look by bringing up williams and mcbride when tyson was finished. is you want to worshipp your hero marciano, go ahead but you better come with better stuff:deal

    Well, actually, no....

Joe Louis' 25 HW title defenses is the ultimate record.

    I disagree.

I think an argument can be made that Tyson beat the better opposition...

    Yes, by a mile.

Remember, ole man Larry, after getting KO'ed by Mike, went on to hand an in-his-prime Ray Mercer his first LOSS and fought very competitively against Holyfield and McCall.

Dare I say that ole man Larry gives an in-his-prime Marciano all he can handle and maybe even beats him on points...

I'm sure you could if you skim through boxing rec and completely disregard the all important element of "context. " Your posts in the "Marciano/Liston" thread are most troubling.

There no need to disregard context @ all.

There is an argument to be made, using the proper context, that Tyson has beaten the better opposition.

You think Tiger Jack's KO of Walcott devalues Marciano's. You have no grasp of context and make strawman arguments. End of discussion, your not worth my time. The story of Walcott is one of the greatest and most inspiring in boxing and you are clearly ignorant of it. Educate yourself, I'm not going to do it for you. If you want to make a case for Mike, by all means do so, you don't have to debate me to express your opinion. There is always an argument to be made but I've seen nothing that would indicate you would bring a fair and interesting one to the table.
