Joe Calzaghe was a damn good prize fighter. Fun to watch and
and he had an awkward style.

Bhop prime? When was his prime then?? He seems to get better with time. One of his best performances was against Pavlik, after the Calzaghe destruction!!!!

Be fair, the guys prime was probably 1993-2003......maybe '04...... which is an exceptionally long prime as it is...... anything after that is just gravy...... not saying he is a bum now..... or just hanging on......... He is still a tough customer...... but in a stronger field, he wouldnt be fighting anymore I think.

I agree to an extent, but Pavlik was being quoted in some parts as a potential p4p fighter, and he got whooped by Hopkins who had just lost an extremley close decision against Calzaghe.

one of the greatest of all times

people forget that coward hopkins ducked him 2002 by pulling out of the fight in the last minute. other fights like jones jnr also ducked calzaghe during his prime because they all knew he was the best ever

just jealous american fans who keep doubting him because they are jealous their fav boxers were never as good as him

Gone a little too far there but I agree about the ducking. People complain about Calzaghe fighting a past prime Hopkins but he still destroyed Pavlik, he's still #4 p4p and Calzaghe tried to fight him earlier. Hopkins didn't want it.

Outpointed Brewer and Thornberry and stopped Manfredo Jr.

I don't care who you are, but that's an achievement.
