    That logic is flawed. If you applied it to everyone ranked in the Ring Magazine p4p list. Nobody would be on the damn p4p list.

    - So Pacquiao beat Marquez. What has Marquez done since? Nothing really.
    - He beat Cotto. Cotto was already brutally destroyed by Margarito. What had he done since? Nothing really.
    - He beat Hatton. He was coming of a lost to Mayweather and what has he done since losing to Pacquiao? Nothing.
    - He beat Delahoya. Delahoya had lost to Mayweather and has done nothing since the Pacquiao fight.
    - What has Barrera and Morales done since their fights with Pacquiao?

    Same goes for Mayweather's resume.

    etc....

    So you can't tell anything at all about a victory over an opponent by seeing what the opponent goes on to achieve?

    I swear if old school fighters like Sugar Ray Robinson and Muhammad Ali were judged using the same set of "rules" people use for guys like Hopkins. They wouldn't even be considered All Time Greats. Hopkins and other modern greats will only be appreciated +10 years after they're gone from the sport.

    People use them rules to judge Calzaghe tho and i agree it sooks. Judge a fighter for how it was at the moment of a fight not for how he was afterwards.

    Well that would make his Lacy win absolutely amazing.

    I don't know if people really think that is correct. Hindsight is actually kind of useful, so long as it is used appropriately.

    It isnt tho , its cherry picked in regard when its used and when it isnt. Id prefer it was all or nothing and used fairly for every fighter.
