I'm sure most here are aware of this, so this thread isn't really for you. I just simply wanted to point something out for those who claim that Vitali Klitschko has only fought bums.....

Since his return from retirement, the combined record of Vitali's opposition, going into their fights against him, comes to a total of 123-2-1. Now, I understand that we are not exactly in the midst of the heavyweight heyday, but Vitali has obviously taken on and beaten all comers, which happen to be the best that the heavyweight division has been able to throw at him. On top of that, he has done it in dominating fashion. What more can a guy do? One can easily make an argument that Vitali has not lossed a single round since his return from retirement. The smallest guy he fought since his return weighed 230. This is ONLY since his retirement!

    Can anybody say "All-Time Great"?

Don't try and use figures to make his opposition look good. Statistically Tye Fields is brilliant.
His opposition overall has been poor to mediocre but he came along at a time when apart from Lewis and Wladimir poor to mediocre opposition was and is all that's available.

Well to be honest with you, I guess statistics are all I have to make his opposition look good.

That wasn't my intention, so it wasn't really a bother. But since you took the time to bother, maybe you could list some guys that he should have fought instead.

It's not Vitali's fault that the state of the HW division is poor. He is fighting the best matchups possible.

The only fault I could point out this year would be letting KJ and Solis have their fight and then face the winner on the December 12th date.

People don't make sense on this forum. They think Vitali sucks and Lennox Lewis was so much better. But if Vitali ever got knocked out by McCall or Rahman then they would probably say Vitali is a bum. It's plain and simple......Vitali is the best in the current division. He can't help what opposition he faces. He's never been knocked out, has the highest knockout %, and never ducks opponents. What more can you ask from the man??

I agree! :good The only thing I would add is that Vitali AND Wlad are clearly the best in the current division.
