If you calling this running this is your first mistake.. For one Pac has pretty much just faced Mexican Style fighter that pretty much would accommodate pac swarming style by sitting right in front of him.

With Floyd pac will find that floyd uses the ring not run around the ring as you call it. Floyd will be trying to bait pac the whole time the pac is following floyd. Roach knows this, which why he stated that he will need to work on plans that involve baiting Floyd in. Running around the ring is something cotto did when he gassed against Shane, margarito, and pac. Floyd steps out of range just enough that he can counter you when mistakes are made. its called timing and angles

A lot gets made of how Pacquiao throws punches from all angles as he's moving in. I can't wait for the first time Floyd rips Pacquiao with a hard counter hook when it happens. It's going to be a real wake-up call.

1 hard counter ain't gonna discourage Pac at all. Cotto couldn't do it through 12 rounds(or 11). Marquez couldn't do it through 12 rounds. Morales couldn't do it through 12 rounds. And they throw more punches than Floyd. I say people are underrating Pac's resolve, determination and the ability to take punches well.

    1 hard counter? C'mon now.

What I'm saying is that you should be expecting exorbitant amounts of coverage and hypes/discussion for this fight. This fight is HUGE. All you can do is not read the threads, skip around them, if they don't interest you.

Have you noticed that even the good threads turn into bun fights between a bunch of kids?

For one thing, Morales has a win over Pacquiao. For another thing, I'm saying the first hard counter will be a wake-up call. Floyd is going to introduce Pacquiao to a brand of counterpunching on a level he's never seen before. Floyd also has the fitness and conditioning to match, if not surpass, Pacquiao.

You're right about one thing, however. Pacquiao will not get discouraged and DOES possess power and ability. That is what makes the fight what it is.

You act as if PBF can't take a punch. Here's a guy who hasn't even been really hurt or never knocked down but you expect Pac who's not a one-shot KO artist to stop PBF with one punch?? The fact is Pac can't deal with movement Cotto who was tired and hurt was moving well and boxing. Pac looked lost, uncorfortable and wanted Cotto to stop and engage him. He didn't cut off the ring he followed him around which is the worst thing you could possibly do to PBF. You must learn how to cut off the ring and get to the body when you get there. Pac headhunts way too much against a guy who is very hard to hit clean to the head. He doesn't pick his shots and doesn't apply intelligent pressure behind a jab.
PBF has long arms just as fast hands and is adept at fighting off his back foot as he is standing in the middle of the ring. Pac won't have answer and will get jabbed, countered and made to miss all night long.

That is liable to happen in basically any thread. It's not limited to this fight at all.

And that's my point. Brand new counter-punching or not, Pac's very hard to discourage at all. Floyd better not go into the fight thinking he'll discourage Pac easily.

Pacquiao weighed 145 pounds on the night of the second Marquez fight. Marquez weighed 141. Pacquiao was practically fighting at the same weight as he is now.

Floyd has had 40 professional fights and hasn't underestimated a single opponent. I don't expect him to do so with Pacquiao, either.

Cotto was not moving well and boxing, he was surviving and throwing out the occasional punch because he wanted to complete the 12. Bad example.

ODLH-PBF was a close fight: yes.

PBF struggled against Hatton: obviously not! He measured him for 4 rounds before taking him to school.

I never meant Pac will KO Floyd with one shot. When I say catch him good, I'm talking about throughout the whole fight. Hence why I said that Pac will start hitting him.

Following Cotto? C'mon now. That's nitpicking. Whatever you like to call it, following or cutting, Pac was still catching Cotto alot. He was not allowing Cotto to run around him. You have to provide a better situation than that in which Pac can't cut or "follow" an opponent at all. Pac has the handspeed and the footspeed to match Floyd's.

And yes Pac will get jabbed, yes he will get countered. But what Floyd does great in some areas(jabbing, countering), he's doesnt in others(activity). Against Pac, only jabbing and countering in spots is not gonna be enough to back him up at all. I'm sorry but no matter what you do, you have to put alot of leather on him to make him think twice in attacking. Cotto was hitting him with shots, yet Pac was not letting up and kept attacking right back. That's how Pac fights, and sometime in the later rounds I see that overwhelming Floyd eventually. He has the speed to do it, the power to do it, the punching angles to do it, the accuracy to do it, the in and out movement to do it and the workrate to do it.

The thing is I can respect anybody who thinks Floyd will win. I have no problem with that. But Floyd beating Pac EASILY? or vice versa? Please that's reaching to space. And I just don't see it. The 2 best P4P fighters in the world and its gonna be an easy fight? not even competitive?

Yeah, right. Let's stop the overrating shall we?
