Adrenalin would be my guess. He as much as admitted it after the fight. He was supposed to circle away from Kelly's right and use lateral movement. He apologized to his trainer for not sticking to the plan. Bell rings, combat starts and it is what it is. He wanted to make the statement of his lifetime. Ended up being different than what he planned it to be though. He does have the distinction of being able to back Kelly up a couple of times though.

A friend of mine in a karate match once told me it is surprising how long 3 minutes can be.

You post this as a reply to someone saying he'll beat Williams? That is too funny buddy. :rofl I'm sure people can understand why.

Pavlik showed he can beat a D level fighter again. He still is slow. Leaky defence. He is a plodder with no real athletism or something that makes him antthing special. Keep fighting bums Pavlik. Let thye 168ers fight real men that present challanges.

Caught the tail end of a local radio talk show this morning, with Jack Loew.
Jack said that Kelly would fight two more years. A couple more 160, then see what's happening at 168. Kind of bummed to here this, but, he's a smart kid with a family to take care of. :|

that would put him at 29 :think kelly just said this layoff killed him b/c its the longest he's gone w/o fighting and that fighting is all he's done since he was 8. if he gets on the upswing that you and i know he can...we'll see if they rethink that :D

In another interview Jack said if he only fights twice a year his career could go on longer..... If he is still winning and the money is there....

Yeah. Kelly just pretty much lost a year so we will have to see how that figures into it. I guess it would depend on how many wars he goes through also. Smart from a business sense to announce your farewell tour early too. :D
