Team pacquiao asks if there is a guarantee that no blood testing will happen a day before the fight, the other camp said there is no guarantee.

Title fights or not. There's a reason why the existing rule sustained this long. A new one must conform to the vision of the precedent.

Mayweather's D doesn't stand for defense anymore. Ducking Manny to protect the "0". Very disappointing...

The pre-fight medical happens in the days/weeks before the fight.

I'm pretty sure they showed Pacquiao's go for his medical during Delahoya-Pacquiao 24/7. Or was it Pacquiao-Hatton?

So... this would be best tested right after the fight, yeah?

I mean the point of having the high red blood cells is for extra stamina etc, during the fight... it doesn't make sense to have high red blood cell count a week before the fight. You need it on fight night.

Or does EPO work where the blood cell count spikes in the days before the fight, and then dwindles to be still useful but not really detectable at the fight?
Obviously I don't know, which is why I am asking.

of course they are random. however, because they are random, the blood test could be held a day or two before the fight. which is what pac's camp do not want. they agreed to a random test but they wanted to disallow blood tests 48 hours before

i don't think this is a great demand from pac's camp. they could take his blood up until wednesday of the week of the fight. mayweather should be okay with that.

but think about this, if pac was indeed using steroids, wouldn't he take them earlier in camp so he can train harder?

why not test pac's blood 3 days before the fight and test him again right after the fight? surely steriods will take more than 4 days for them to get out of your system right?

    That'd be better. But doubtful.

I'm assuming this kind of testing would be more expensive. So who pays for all of it?

Would explain why you haven't heard a peep out of Oscar regarding the issue, or the fight come to think of it. If you consider this is potentially the richest fight in history and Oscar De La Hoya is getting a slice of it you'd think his face would be everywhere trying to promote it being so popular. He is nowhere to be seen.
