"Strikeforce was founded in 1985 as a kickboxing organization. It became involved with mixed martial arts in 2006 " ... Yep

Does Dana pay bonuses for competition bashing blog posts?

And I guess the NHL leading team will not be around much longer either. Poor Shark fans.

(Silicon Valley Sports and Entertainment Corporation that owns Strikeforce also operates Sharks and runs things in HP pavilion. )

I will never forget Matt Hughes cheering and hi-fiving his friends after GSP lost to Serra. Was just so pathetic in my eyes that he was SO happy that GSP had lost after the beating GSP put on him. GSP was so classy to him after the fight also, saying Matt was still his hero and to keep his head up. Hughes just showed his true colors there.

Coker comes across like a good bloke. I'm sure he'll try and help Lawler out.

It sounds like he's been real unlucky. Lawler did have a fight and then his opponent got replaced and Coker did talk to good replacements like Kang but they got unlucky. Coker wants him on the Jan 30th bill but the guys got a kid due on Feb 5th.

I hope they look after Lawler as he is exciting. He comes to bang and he's a top fighter.

:good Matt Hughes was a great champion, but he has proved, on more than one occasion, to be a wanker masquerading as a good guy!

I would love to see those two fighters in the UFC!!! Or even just fight the best the UFC have to offer! I recently read a post regarding an "Openweight" tournament, which I wasn't in favour of (Brock Lesnar-Vs-Frankie Edgar?). But, how about this Socrates? An open organisation tournament at the relevant weights! I accept that it may mostly consist of UFC fighters but there are some world class fighters apart from Fedor and Gegard that I would love to see duke it out with the UFC lads!

I agree, when you watch his interviews Coker does come across as a decent guy. As you said, it just sounds like they have been unlucky. Its a shame Lawler can't fight on the 30th. Its good to hear Manhoef will probably make his Strikeforce debut on the Jan card. They can then have the Lawler vs Manhoef fight on the CBS card in April. :deal
