as a newbie/neutral/casual fan, I have to say I'm amazed by the majority of the posts on here today. When I read the headline about Manny refusing olympic style drug testing I expected to come on here and read almost universal condemnation...instead the forum is littered with mayweather-bashing rubbish. Let's be clear about this, to all but the most devoted pacquiao fan this refusal stinks to high heaven...Freddie Roach can spout off all he likes about 'not being made to dance to Mayweathers tune' but anyone with a degree of impartiality will be amazed at their refusal to submit to a STANDARD test by an INDEPENDENT body to verify Pac's EXTRAORDINARY perfomances. I can't believe people are even getting in to discussions about the negatives associated with having blood taken etc etc...ffs every olympic athlete seems to cope allright.

Let's get this straight, if Pac refuses the proposed tests, even if the fight goes ahead, to the general public this will cast a huge shadow over his achievements.

For gods sake manny, just sign the fight, shut Roach up, get in that ring without the cloud of suspicion and show us all you're a once in a lifetime athlete by knocking Floyd out. The world needs sporting heroes and there are millions of us wanting to believe.

All I know is that PAc refused to take a test both men would have to submit to which leaves any sane, rational mind that PAc is using... PAc is a ****in cheater, and until he proves otherwise, fuk him!

 

I have issues with both sides. I believe the olympic style testing is unneccessary. However, team Pac agreed to it. Once you agree to something like that, I don't know how you can then try to dictate when the "random" samples will be taken. That's wrong in my opinion. It's like catchweights. I'm not a big fan of them. However, if you agree to it, then you should come in at or below the weight at which you agreed upon.

 

I pretty much agree with Roach.

Roach has agreed to testing over 4 days before the fight and one day after. No PED's can not be traced in between 5 days. Not to mention urine samples which is as good.

 

I think Pac should just take the test, can anyone please confirm if the tests are actually done the same day as the fight? I find that hard to believe.

If it isn't true then the more reason for Pacquiao to take the stupid test and make more than 30 millions. Would be very stupid if the fight didn't happen
because Pac doesn't want to take a silly test.
