I knew Floyd would find a way to back out. Pac should ditch him and fight Mosley

I thought Floyd's excuse for backing out would be money, but instead he goes for unnecessary drug-testing.

If ever there was a guy trying to get out of a fight, this is it.

Floyd is a joke, Pacquiao should ditch him and fight a real man like Shane Mosley.

What would Floyd do then? Rematch Baldomir? Matthew Hatton?

Or be KO'd by the IRS???

Apparently Golden Boy are going to insist Pacquiao has these Olympic-style tests if he fights any of their fighters. I guess that would rule out Shane and JMM too.

That's what it says over on the scene of boxing anyway.

Pacquiao agreed to this testing from the start but has just decided to back out now. He knew the rules to the drug testing from the start of negotiations so whys he decided to back out now? It should be no big problem if both fighters are subject to the same tests.
I could see the problem if Mayweather was just making Manny take the tests.

anybody having no problem with random drug tests insisted by mayweathers are bias fans..

random drug testing through blood samples in boxing is ridiculous..

Doubt it. You think GB and Sugar shane want to miss out on a pay day. Seeing shane is tanked up on roids anyway doesnt matter.

This is all just for mind games and negotiations. I hope the fight does go ahead, if it does good mind games. If it doesnt then these demands need to be dropped

That used to be the standard in boxing not too long ago.

Mosley is not an option for Pacquiao. Not only would Top Rank never seriously pursue the fight for Pac, but even if they did, there are some obstacles to overcome. First you have timing. Mosley is fighting at the end of Jan. Realistically he won't be available again until May or June. However, Pac is running for office and won't be able to train again or do any promotion until after the election which takes place May. This means a fight between the two wouldn't happen until August and September.

Second, you have the fact that Shane is a Golden Boy fighter. Golden came to an agreement with Top Rank for the olympic style drug testing only for Pac to pull out for dubious reasons. Why would Golden Boy put Mosley on the shelf longer than he has to be in order to fight Pac when they can get Mosley similar money to fight Mayweather? That fight could take earlier and would be easier to negotiate being that both are represented by GBP. The bottom line is that Mayweather and Pacquiao need eachother. Pacquiao needs Mayweather a little bit more because Golden Boy can freeze Pacquiao out of fights with Shane or Marquez.

Mosley wouldn't want any random drugs testing if he fought Pac, just in case he'd been accidently taking steroids again

Because urine testing has become more reliable. I have no problem with urine testing. However, Top Rank agreed to the additional testing. Not only that, but Pacquiao is giving dubious reasons for not wanting the additional tests.
