seriously you don't have to be a pacquiao fan to see what floyd was pulling. you must be a critic of pac at least to think that floyd and GBP are in it for the betterment of boxing.

  5. It 's going to be a deeply sad day for you if Paulie ends up fighting PAC huh?

First of all, do you think it was a fair request from GBP and Mayweather?

Considering that Mayweather Sr has not been giving Pacquaio his due even before the Dela Hoya fight, and to think he was the one who spread that rumor. He has all the intention to discredit Pacquaio especially after his boy Hatton was destroyed in 2 rounds. He has been malicious in his accusations even before.

Likewise, what do you think of the credibility of GBP here after it was found out that just as early as 2008, they refused to have Mosley, a boxer under their stable, be tested by any drug agency other than NSAC?

"Whatever tests they want them to take, Shane will submit to that. We are not going to do other tests than the Nevada commission requires," Schaefer said. "The fact is Shane is not a cheater and he does not need to be treated like one.""

And now, they will be here threatening Pac that if he does not submit to this test, he won't be able to fight any GBP fighters in the future? Is this bullying or what?

Also, has Pacquaio failed any drug test before to be subjected to this kind of drug test which is unprecented in the history of boxing?

For me, and I feel this is what Pacquaio is thinking also, this is just another Mayweather tactics of bullying his opponent, to have an upperhand, whatever that is. If he complies, it is like he is legitimizing the accusation by subjecting himself to a test which was concocted by Mayweather and is not really required by the sanctioning body.

Even before there were negotiations, Floyd has had a reputation of a cherrypicker. And this was his ploy to erase that:

First, he resorts to the "Pac should be his own man" BS.

Next, after Pac demolished Cotto, he insisted that he was the bigger draw thereby should take the bigger share of the purse.

Then the call for him to fight Pac became so great, probably with a purse so irresistible, Floyd immediately accepted the fight. Giving the appearance that he is willing to take the fight and the ball is now on Pac's court. He's hoping that Pac will insist to have the bigger share thereby making it look like it was Pac who doesn't want the fight to be made. In the background, Papa Floyd and Uncle Roger started the steroid rumors.

Unfortunately for him, Pac also accepted the terms quickly and the fight was tentatively scheduled on March.

Now with the steroid issue making it's own spin of things, Floyd now ridiculously insists on drug testing methods which belongs to the amateurs. Again, if the fight goes off, it was Pac who refused testing and will look like a cheater and coward.

Floyd really is a master of deception. Insisting on outrageous demands just to avoid a fight and protect his unbeaten record. Never mind that on this fight, Pac is the champion and someone who should make the demands.

    What's next? Electronic scoring? Headgear?

Floyd's fights were full of controversies. Better for him to retire for good. Boxing doesn't need him.

Pacquiao is one of those who's saving boxing while Floyd is killing it.

he did agree to the test, just not 30 days before the fight. i think he should do 1 random 1 7 days before the fight, which i think he will end up doing. theyre trying tosolve this thing now.

Id rather have him not take the test and not prove his doubters (doubters saying he takes steroids cuz hes too good) than to have him take the test days before the fight and have him affected by it during the fight.

I'm all for drug and steroid testing to the highest degree. What I'm against is how Manny is being singled out, being accussed of juicing, even though he has passed 10 official drug tests administered by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. All Manny did was he expressed concern over giving blood days before the fight, and was reported by GBP to the whole world that he flat out refused blood testing. USADA is notorioous for overtesting olympic athletes days before a fight. Testing should not be intrusive to the point athletes performance are compromised. Asafa Powell was outraged that he had to do multiple testing in the Beijing Olympics days before his races. A blood test a week before or right after the fight should be sufficient. But no, not good enough for the Mayweathers who claim Manny is juicing. Now they are going to get their asses sued for defamation of character.
