Who will have a better career, Yuriorkis Gamboa or JuanMa Lopez?

I believe Gamboa has much more natural talent than Lopez. In the long run, Gamboa will have a overall better career.

Let's just see if they both will enter the same ring one day as it was promised to us, as it is right now it seems that Lopez is scared of the Cuban phenom!

Juanma. No question. Gamboa's inability to absorb a solid punch from a ****ing bum, let alone a world class fighter, is going to betray him many times over. On top of that he's extremely awkward, in just an awkward sense, fighting out of a traditional set. He's looked downright naked since they started tweaking with his style. It's only when he reverts to his flashy mode that he's effective, and ONLY then. Too bad he's extremely vulnerable in flashy mode. It's a no win for the kid, and it won't be long before it all comes to a head. Not long at all.

 

Gamboa lots of raw natural talent great offense poor defense has had his chin checked. Though he is in a tough division with Chris John. So far the guy needs to beat a top flight guy before i pass the judgement. He has been hurt and in trouble what if he gets KO'd bad in his first step up.
Juan ma bareley got by Mtgawa and was hit very easily by penalosa with counter lefts its just gerry did not have enough power. When Juan ma fights Cabellero or moves up pand fights somebody good i will pass my judgements. they are both too young and have struggled at times though Juanma has a belt and Gamboa does not. Too early to tell

 

They'll end up being about the same.

Gamboa obviously has more natural ability, but his chin will probably keep him from getting to the upper echelon.

JuanMa is a good fighter, but he's definitely beatable.

 

2 talented guys with a lot of weaknesses shown early on is a recipe for disaster. Maybe their ability and pedigee trumps this and they excel so far im putting my thought on hold til one of them wins a major fight

 

I dunno about disaster. I think their talent will carry both of them, but it will only take them so far.

Juan doesn't have any glaring flaws in his game, I just don't think he's mentally tough enough to compete at the highest level, whereas Gamboa has technical flaws and a shaky chin...that's more of a recipe for disaster than anything if you think about it.
