What could Pacquiao possibly gain by submitting to drug tests??

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Crax Sellerman, Dec 26, 2009.

  1. There is no drug test in the world that can prove a person is not using or has never used drugs. The only thing a drug test can prove definitively is that you are using drugs.

Pacquiao could agree to give all of his blood to the USADA for the rest of his life and never test positive for a thing, but there will still be people *cough Floyd, Sr.* saying things like,

"Well whatever he's on must be undetectable."

    or

"He must've stopped using them after we had him tested."

Passing a drug test proves only that Pacquiao is not using any detectable drugs during a particular time frame. So I ask - what does he have to gain?

floyd sr. or other jackasses could simply say other bogus claims if pac submitted and test negative. that's why pac should not let these jerks boss him around. fight back, even if its in the court of law, if deemed necessary just like in this case.

It's just a tool Floyd is using to get out of the fight.

that's why floyd agreed to pacman terms on nevada testing then, and generally agreeing to whatever pacman wanted in this fight weight/gloves/ and now drug testing

If that is true, I will be very happy. I will stop slamming Mayweather and his fans as soon as he mans up and signs to fight.
All of the agreed upon stipulations for this fight are good for the fans.
You think I want to see Pacquiao vs Mayweather at 154 with 10 oz gloves in a 20 ft ring?
    **** no.

He has nothing to gain, because he has nothing to prove. However, he has plenty to lose by even agreeing to these tests. His dignity. He will give pusweather the upper hand in this encounter and it will give floyd the confidence he needs to accept this fight on even terms. Manny isn't doping and anyone with common sense knows it. This has always been and will continue to be a ploy for dominance.

It's a no win situation for Manny. When the fight happens and if manny wins he'll be under the same kind of suspicion he is under right now. And the only ones who are suspicious are the few people (Mayweather Family & Fans) who just are not feeling Manny. Bottom line is that these people hold no value in boxing or make or break fighters who are elite guys in the sport. Irrational fans need to chill and enjoy what these guys do. PAC ain't gonna be round for ever.

Pac could gain $30 to $40 mill by taking the test. What makes him look more supicious, him passing the test and having Floyd Sr. still make accusations, or him not taking the test, losing out on a bunch of money, and having Floyd Sr. go around telling everyone how he was right about Pac?

What is the fighting weight that Floyd wanted for this fight? The gloves go with the fighting weight so no one demanded the gloves.

If he agrees with the testing no one will be able to say a thing that means anything:good

If Pac is clean, this should be no problem. Because Floyd will undergo the same. Manny has a hell of a fight in front of him, it's a hell of a task, but this is legacy. Take the tests, Take the fight, and try to take that legacy.
