Mugabi gets more milage out of losing to Hagler than the porn industry got out of Jenna Jameson. Pavlik would batter him down, whether early or a little later. He's never beaten a fighter even remotely as good as Pavlik.
Mugabi has the better defense I feel while Pavlik stands up to straight and takes shots frighteningly flush. I can just see his brain recoiling inside his skull for this one. Mugabi in a tough war inside five
Sorry but I changed my mind. I went to youtube only to be reminded how bad this guy really is. No defense, no speed, and about the crudest clubfighter youll ever see I cant see Mugabi needing more than a couple of rounds
If Hopkins didnt have such a conservative attack and if he had any power at all, he'd have put his lights out
Calling Pavlik a club fighter is an insult to club fighters. He's the worst fighter in the history of the sport, bar none. I could knock him out, and I mean that literally. Calderon KO1 Pavlik.
Taylor won every round of their first fight; the only reason Pavlik won was that he cheated and Taylor was weight-drained. He hit Taylor with a rabbit punch and because Taylor was weight-drained he knocked him out. Taylor also won every round of Pavlik/Taylor II and the damn judges robbed him. I had it a clear 120-108 for Taylor. And Miranda was an over-hyped, glass-jawed bum. Pavlik is the worst fighter ever. Mugabi would crush him inside a round.
Even Calderon could knock Pavlik out. And Martinez and Paul Williams will knock Pavlik out inside thirty seconds. Pavlik is a cheat and a bum.
Hopkins carried him because he's such a nice man. He could have knocked Pavlik out easily but he felt sorry for him and let the fight go the distance.
I had the first Taylor Pavlik fight 3 rounds each going in the 7th round. Taylor gets extral points on the knockdown. I dont think the judges score that fight faithful imo. No way should Taylor been that way ahead as it was.
(I was being sarcastic.) If I remember correctly, I had the same card as you for Pavlik/Taylor I. I've scored Pavlik/Taylor II differently pretty much every time I've watched it, ranging from 117-111 to 115-113 for Pavlik.
