He is a world class boxer and an exciting one who beats his foes in a crowd pleasing fashion. He is also an allround good person who cares about his community. For these reasons I consider my self a fan. However I do have my limits. What I don't understand is this Cult of Manny Pacquiao that has risen up recently. It seemes that he can do no wrong. He is infailable. How dare anyone ask him to do things diffrently than before. I'm sorry but I just don't get it.
As a fan of any boxer you take good with the bad. Pacman is being slain in the media right now over something where he has done NOTHING wrong. I would like him to take the test cause I want to see the fight, but in no way do I think he is obligated cause some guy wants to stir some ****.
Nobody really thinks that. His movie, "Wapakman" is a big box office flop in the local cinemas. The other local movies shown simultaneously are earning dozens of millions of pesos, and his movie barely reaches the 1 million pesos mark. His movie is getting creamed. Nobody worships him and thinks he's always right. It's just that most people here have seen him fight since the 90's, and they believe that he's talented enough and hard working enough as a boxer to fight clean and still win. The guy can be a jerk outside the ring, but he's always played fair on top of it. No record or reputation of bad sportsmanship and underhanded, dirty tactics in his whole boxing career.
He's not doing anything wrong by not taking this crap from Floyd. If you wanna bad mouth him, then do it if he chooses to fight Malignaggi. That would be a legitimate reason.
Its a combo of Pac Sackswingers and Die hard Floyd haters. For example, people like Chimba, Paulfv, Farmboxers, and Bladerunner are pure mayweather HATERS. Paulfv and Farmy have a problem with all fighters that arent white so they are far from pac fans, they just hate Floyd more. Then you have a group of about 10 to 12 *******s, who know VERY little about boxing over all and make 90% of thier posts about Pac. And another 9% about Donaire. Thing is that have about a combined 50, 000 posts and none of them have been here more then 2 years. That just flood the broad with tons and tons of posts about Pac. They have actaully turned people against him here. I remember a time when EVERYONE loved pac here, that was before they came:yep
That's not true. I've been lurking here since the mid 2000's and joined a bit later, but the majority of the posts I've read about MP and his fans were nasty. I cant remember a time when he was universally liked here.
Apparently, the movie sucks. The Krista Ranillo controversy was bad PR too. The top 3 movies are all family friendly, fantasy movies. All Filipino movie festival. 1. Panday 2. a comedy-horror flick 3. Shake Rattle & Roll and WAPAKMAN's an action-fantasy movie too, but it's doing very poorly.
Can you enlighten us what he is doing wrong this time? Is it because he objected to be blood tested on the day of the fight or the day before the fight? He is such an unreasonable guy, isn't it?
