A fight between 2 P4P fighters should never be as bad as that one was.

 

English: Scored it to Calzaghe (by about 3 points I think) keep meaning to watch it again to re-score, didnt think it was that close really but it wasnt the most exciting fight by any stretch. Hopkins did make Calzaghe fight his fight, just felt Calzaghe outworked him at it

My opinion Calzaghe should have accepted the rematch at Cardiff.

BBC radio 5 I remember on the night, also had it the same as me, 6 - 6, and Hopkins with extra point due to the knockdown

 

English and Calzaghe won. Too much work rate not all Joe's shot were hard concussive shots but there were so many more landing than bhop u cant ignore it. Towards the end hopkins was throwing 3 right hands a rounds

 

hopkins managed to win. and i did not find the fight boring. calzaghe fought hopkins fight. hopkins landed cleaner punches. calzaghe threw more but missed almost everything.

im an american, calzaghe clearly won 115 112, hopkins just didtn do much he landed 2 good shots in the whole fight, granted calzaghe's shots werent damaging, but he did land more punch'c on bhop than anyone eslse ever, the punch ratio was ike 250 to 110 in favor of calzaghe, im sorry but you can not win a fight landing 40 percent of what your opponent landed, calzaghe also outmoved him dictated the pace and used positioning against hopkins, whom typically masters all those things, so in my oppinion it was a very impressive performance.

 

Calzage doesnt punch. He slaps. I will give him credit for making adjustments during the fight. :bart

couldnt disagree anymore, that was a calzaghe style fight he threw over 900 and landed 250 plus, calzaghe outmoved hopkins and used angles against him, hopkins was like fighting with concrete shoes on next to calzaghes fluid movement, and no it wasnt because bhop was past it, calzaghe was nightmare matchup, for a one punch at a time potshotter like bhop
