I'm trying to rationalize why Manny declined random testing. Here are my opinions: 1) Pacquiao is so dependent on PEDs that he refuses to fight Mayweather without the aid of steroids. If true, not only is Manny a cheater, but he's damn ballsy for still wanting to take 'roids despite the fact that the entire boxing world is onto him. So he demanded that blood tests be taken on pre-determined dates so he can use PEDs between tests. A probable but overly risky decision. 2) Pacquiao still has traces of PEDs in his system that need weeks to disappear. If he signs the fight today, officials will come knocking on his door tomorrow for a blood sample. Therefore, Pacquaio will need to delay the March 13 date until the PEDS clear from his body. Again, this is a probable scenario, but he would have refused to give blood tests outright if the fight was too early. By agreeing to an early blood test it means his system is currently free from PEDs. 3) If Pacquiao is clean the only reason he's refusing random blood samples is that he doesn't want to give in to Mayweather's mind games. He may feel the allegations are an insult and that permitting random tests will just conflict with his intense training regimen. The Mayweathers are singling him out from all other boxers in an attempt to gain a psychological advantage. If the two previous reasons are untrue, then this is the only probable explanation. Thoughts?
Explanation 3 can't be true because he has a 20 million purse on the line. Surely Pac doesn't want to throw away the biggest payday of his life as well as his reputation just because he doesn't want to give in to the Mayweather head games. Therefore we can assume either explanation 1 or 2 to be true.
Or Manny and his team just flat out feel they'd never be able to beat Floyd, and are using every excuse under the sun (including lies, mainly by Arum) to get out of the fight. Glad everyone now see's this for what it truly is.
ok if 3 is true he is so stubborn that he will take this fight away from fans and then fight a guy who actually accused him of taking steroids....I have no clue why i really don';t care I just want to see the fight
Of course not. I say replace number 3 with my reasoning - Manny doesn't feel he can beat Mayweather and is looking for anyway of getting out of the fight. It's either that, or steroids.
pacquiao either is afiraid to fight floyd because he knows he will lose or afraid to get tested because he's on roids.
