GL: Are you aware of the ongoing crisis surrounding the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight? "Most definitely." GL: Do you have an opinion on it? "You could see Pacquiao's side, why should he change for Floyd? A fight don't start in the ring, it starts when the negotiation starts. If these are the rules, we're going to stick by the standard rules. On the other hand, I understand he's saying something been going on, but the problem with that is, if you're going to check him why didn't you check Marquez? Why didn't you make anybody else do it? It's kind of strange to call him out on this and nobody else."

GL: Do you see anything in Pacquiao that would lead you to feel suspicious?

RJ: "No. The kid is strong, he came up in weight and brought his stregth. Nowadays the testing is good enough, they got it to where you can't even take over the counter products. I can testify to that. The testing is very good right now and there's nothing he could really do that they can't find. Why make Pacquiao take the test and not anybody else?"

GL: Would you have made such a concession for John Ruiz or any of your other big fights?

RJ: "Hell naw. Why change the rules on me? Because I'm coming up in weight means I'm doing steroids? They're giving you a test for that anyway. It would be something that would aggravate me because then after I beat you, I was on something, don't play with me. Either you want to fight or you don't want to fight.

The quote should have continued "especially after being caught out once before"

Pac doesn't really need proven drugs cheats backing his position....what next, an endorsement from Mosley, Toney, and Vit Klit

Is that the same Hopkins who reneged on a deal he signed to fight Calzaghe in 2002? Same Hopkins who only agreed to fight Calzaghe six years later when Joe was on top and Hopkins had nothing to lose?

The same Hopkins who demanded no less than 60-40 against Roy, who had already beaten him and was the bigger star/draw? Same Hopkins who only signed to fight Jones after Roy had been whooped by Calzaghe and was clearly shot? Yeah it was Roy's fault for not letting Hopkins screw him over in negotations.

Anyway, Roy's been at Manny Pacquaio's level. He was his own man as a fighter, did it his way. Never let any ***** dictate anything to him. He see's the injustice in ***** boy's demands, no surprise.

:yep:roflrJJ sqaying this!?!?!? Word is Toney & Roy were with Roach @ WildCard Gym having a "Roidfest" while discussing this issue... They decided it's unacceptable to bring PROPER blood tests which could actually detect PED'S in boxing.... "That would be closer to killing boxing than anything else" said Roach... what kind of a heinous mind would've ever thought about this???? Pathetic!!:hey

I don't believe a word out of DLH's mouth. That guy is a weasel.

He said Manny didn't have great punching power initially after his fight with him in order to downplay the loss and give less credit to PAC.

Now he sees an opportunity to discredit Pac but raising doubts about the circumstances about his loss. :nono

I think most boxers would agree with Jones. Every boxer should be treated equally

:good Exactly!!! We all know what happened to this sore loser. IMHO, quitting is way more embarassing than getting knock out, and the supposedly little Filipino dude is the only dude that made him quit in his entire career. Now, how fvcking sad is that?
