Mugabi who fought Norris was shot. John was never the same after his loss to Hagler. To this day, Marvin claims Mugabi hit him the hardest out of all his opponents. I believe the battle also took a lot out of Marvin.

After the bout, I remember Hagler's trainer giving an interview a few days after the fight & he stated it would take Marvin's body a long time to recover from such a bout.

The Mugabi who fought Hagler would have beaten Pavlik. Pavlik aint no Hagler & never will be.

Mugabi hit extremely hard, whether it be at 154lbs or 160lbs. Pre-Hagler, Mugabi KO's Pavlik.

How about the guy who was the lineal MW champion of the world, for starters.

As opposed to Mugabi's biggest win - Frank Fletcher.

Pretty much sums it up perfectly. Terribly overrated fighter in many quarters.

He was certainly no Konadu, but i think he's good enough to beat Pavlik after a good tough fight.Styles as much as anything, Mugabi is going to find it hard not to hit Pavlik and i'd bet on winning a war of attrition with his superior power. He could actually counterpunch as well, unlike Pavlik.

pavlik and taylor would have fit in nicely with the hard rock greens, Braxtons, Curtis Parkers etc..i'd say that's about their level.

what kind of fighter gets named kelly? he looks terrible and is bound for a fall faster than you can say steppingstone.

It wont be long before the losses start piling up

I can't agree with that. Taylor/Pavlik aren't genuinely great, but I'd say they're at least a cut above those guys. Remember, Taylor was good enough to beat Hopkins twice and fight Winky Wright on level terms, two of the classiest boxers around today.

Was the thumb before or after the punch that fractured his cheekbone?

What's embarrassing is you continually spelling the word wrong while denouncing others :rofl

    You ain't Old English ;)

Nothing wrong with being schooled by a cagey old school warrior like Hopkins.
