    Matthew Hatton could be in line to fight Floyd Mayweather as doubts continue about the American's planned showdown with Manny Pacquiao.
    Pretty Boy had been set to fight Pac-Man on March 13 but negotiations have hit a stumbling block due to a row over blood testing.
    The disagreement has led to Golden Boy Promotions and Team Mayweather looking at possible alternative opponents - with Hatton emerging as one option.
    The Mancunian admits he wouldn't hesitate to sign up for the fight, giving him the chance to avenge the defeat suffered by his older brother Ricky in 2007.

    While I've jokingly said on here I'd like nothing more than to see Shane Mosley, Cotto or whoever knock Matthew Hatton around a boxing ring, this really is a bit to much.

    Hatton shouldnt even be allowed to spar with him let alone fight him. Pacquiao v Mayweather to Pacquiao v Malignaggi, Hatton v Mayweather just gives any boxing critic an incredible amount of ammunition and rightly so.

    If it were to happen (which I don't think it will), then it would be one of the worst match-ups of all time.

    One of the worse ever mis-matches in boxing history.

    Look how many times Ricky managed to land his head against Mayweather's fists during their fight for **** sake. Matthew will make Floyd look daft with the amount his head can land.

    I've not bothered to look into all the ifs, buts and maybes regarding this fight. Frankly it's a ****ing joke. Should this happen it would be laughed at and the sport would be laughed at. I mean this really is an utter disgrace that it is even getting mentioned.
    There is no way that anyone can defend this whatsoever.

    Why is Mathew Hatton in the same sentence as Floyd, Floyd's looking to have a fight in britain it doesnt mean he has to fight a british fighter.

    This is probably a general forum rumour that has escalated.

    Some Americans assume that just because Ricky was good at selling tickets, Matthew must be as well..... one tried telling me yesterday that Matthew would beat Michael Jennings :lol:

    He has a 37-4-2 slate with a 30% KO ratio against flat out tripe..... hardly awe inspiring is it?

    It would be like Tua vs Ruiz.

    The sad thing is, I slag this off, say these types of matches are a cancer on the sport etc etc yet I know I'll be on ticketmaster the first day they go on sale!
