I have heard 24 days 14 days and 24 hours. If it was confirmed by HBO then that is most likely fair enough.
Yeah, and Dan Rafael had this to say in his chat a few hours ago... -------------- John (Phoenix) Dan, please, enough of the awful questions. Arum is telling the LA Times that he thinks we need to wait until later in 2010. If Pac beats up Yuri, does the new weight-class get a * next to it when remembering his career? And please dont pretend Yuri is a challenge, as much as you love Bob. Dan Rafael (12:44 PM) Bob told me the same thing this morning. But Bob has lost his mind and is not even involved in the direct talks right now. He's down in Cabo drinking and saying stupid stuff. Dan Rafael (1:50 PM) We have some breaking news from the Bat Phone. Dan Rafael (1:51 PM) The Pacman and Mayweather camps are reviewing a proposal they have come up with on how to deal with this drug testing thing.
Foreman is not a horrible fighter, but i cant see how this cant be seen as a bit of cherry picking. Hes going up to 154 not to fight the man, but to try and get a belt from one of the weakest links. If a guy is going to 154 to make history, the only names he should be considering is Martinez. There is also Bradley and Williams who would love to fight him, and deserve the fight a lot more then Foreman, and then theres Martinez. I dont know.... Malignaggi and Foreman as the proposed opponents for Pac is a bit whack imo. If we were talking a fighter on a lesser level, not at the tail end of his career, they would be solid matchups, but Pac should only be fighting a certain level of fight at this stage (his prime) and this close to the end for him. Just IMO. Id rather it be foreman then malignaggi, and again, Foreman is no pushover, but still. Also, a bit of a stupid move imo, matching the biggest star in boxing just about with a nobody but one that isnt complete garbage, and if for some reason Foreman wins.... Arum and Co will look stupid as hell. Pac - Bradley Is the fight that should be made
Here's what I said in another thread : I really don't give a flying **** about who holds belts in how many divisions or any of that nonsense. Didn't give a **** when RJJ beat a chump heavyweight for his belt and don't care about Pacs 7 belts. I respect guys who reign in a division for years far more then I do guys who gain 6 pounds and cherrypick some alphabet belt holder. And I'm not saying that Pac hasn't fought great opponents, but I truly wonder why so many like to make a fuss over how many times you can gain weight and keep winning with the way boxing is today. Yuri Foreman? Yeah, good win, but the "OMG, this is his eight weight division belt" stuff is unneeded, it's a good win over a guy that weights a little bit more than you. Far too much is being made about peoples "legacy's" and what not and not enough is being made about the best fighters fighting each other and proving that they are the best in a division. I don't give a **** about any of this crap as long as there is like 3 different belts in each division, and there is sooooo many divisions as there is today (Another gripe I have, but I'll leave that for another day). Is boxing ever going to have a guy like Monzon again? Somebody that is just unstoppable in his division, and that fights at his own ideal weight and doesn't worry about jumping around for the hell of it?
Well...at least thats 2 sources that say it could come together. Either way.....I just hope that this is resolved tonight/tomorrow the latest or else I dont want to hear about this mess again! Anyone watch The Wire? This whole negotiation ordeal has basically come down to me thinking of the scene where 1 of Marlo's boys got pissed about his car getting ****ed up and he was about to cap the guy but was hesitant...Marlo 's response was..."Well get on with it. Either do it or don't". Someone should relay this message to Arum and Golden Boy!
Even Team Foreman thinks this is all bull****: http://www.thesweetscience.com/boxi...ther-fizzles-pacquaio-foreman-might-flourish/
