If he wasn't such an unlikeable ***** he'd have more than just the American public behind him.

He's a great fighter but perhaps he and Bernard Hopkins should have a little cuddle and cry to each other.

    Part 1 of 2

    http://www.examiner.com/examiner/x-10947-Indianapolis-Fight-Sports-Examiner~y2009m12d30-DSource-Exclusive-Interview-with-RA-The-Rugged-Man-part-1-of-2

D Source - Good day fight fans! We're here with RA THE RUGGED MAN, one of the legends of Hip-Hop and one of the best lyricists of all time. He also happens to be a big boxing fan. You might remember hif for his infamous interview with Floyd Mayweather Jr. over at Sirius Satellite Radio a couple of weeks back. So RA, how are you doing man?

RA THE RUGGED MAN - I'm doing great! Enjoying the Holidays... Got back from Christmas with the family you know.. Good week.

D Source - Let's get down to Boxing business. I wanted to get your thoughts on this fiasco over the holidays that's been going on involving this steroids deal with Floyd Mayweather and promotional representative Golden Boy Promotions have started up.

RA THE RUGGED MAN - I think they're just slimy. I think they're just slimy and it's disgusting. Everybody knows that Manny Pacquiao is the fighter of the year of 2009, all the accolades. Everybody was loving this guy, blowing up in the mainstream as well as fight fans was loving him, and he was putting on great fights and destroying fighters like Cotto and dismantling them that.. nobody dismantled Cotto like that ever.. and the guy looked great all year. And now all of a sudden there's jealousy in the Mayweather camp premeditated by the guy. So that jealousy, what they want to do is discredit an athlete and make him look $h!tty and that's the history of Mayweather and what he does. It's like if you compare him to Sugar Ray Leonard, he will discredit Sugar Ray Leonard. If you compare him to any fighter, he'll try to discredit that fighter.. 'Oh, Bernard Hopkins... Hopkins lost.. either the guy is a loser or a cheater. Nobody can be great except him in his mind and it's pretty disgusting. It's actually hurting the sport of boxing because all of the press is hearing now is steroids, steroids, steroids, steroids. It's like you'd rather hurt the sport of boxing rather than just fight the man?!

Note: I divided the video into 2 because part 1 has a little static but I did not want to cut-off what RA had to say so I wrote the transcript and posted the audio so you can hear it from the horse's mouth. Part 2 is much clearer however and I will be posting that shortly. This is just a small part of the entire interview I wanted to share hot off the oven from the interview just an hour ago. I will be uploading the rest later, so please check back. You can't miss this. Thanks...

"So that jealousy, what they want to do is discredit an athlete and make him look $h!tty and that's the history of Mayweather and what he does." --RA The Rugged Man

    ==============================================

    part 2

D Source - "Instead of people talking about this mega-fight that's supposed to save boxing as they say it, now people's attention have been diverted to this steroids.

    RA - Negativity..

D Source - Exactly.. Do you think people are buying into it at all based from what you've been hearing or can they see through it?

RA - Well I think the people that pay attention to the sport can see through it easily. If they pay attention to what really goes on to the history of the sport like no fighter in the history of the sport never had to go through all of these demands before. Nobody ever had to take these blood tests like this- this amount. No fighter had to ever deal with this before. In the history of boxing, Trinidad and Dela Hoya didn't have to do it. Lewis-Tyson didn't have to do it.

Manny Pacquiao's 50 other something opponents didn't have to do it. Mayweather's 40 other opponents didn't have to do it. So if you follow the sport, this is just like Floyd ducking and dodging tactics, traying to get into Pacquiao's head and discredit him. People that pay attention to the sport can see through it. BUT the mainstream media will go 'Oh it's a simple test.

Why don't Manny just take the test?' They don't understand that you gotta get blood drawn out of you 48 hours before the fight and outside your will and disruptive of the training camp when 'Who the f@cK is Floyd Mayweahter?' Is he supposed to be the commission? He's not the commission. He's just another fighter. So why should the champion- Pacquiao- have to do whatever Mayweather's people say he has to do? So if I'm Pacquiao, Imma say F*** off to these guys too. BUT the mainstream media will go 'Well if he has nothing to hide then why just not take the test?' It's not just a test.

He's willing to take blood right the second he finishes the fight. The minute after he finishes the fight against Mayweather he's willing to take the test in his locker room. He's willing to take blood (tests) two other times. He's willing to take urine (tests) at will. The man is willing to take 3 blood tests. Now if that's not good enough, then Manny fights somebody else or Mayweather go fight somebody else..."

"You know what's funny? When this fight was moving forward supposedly around a month ago, a lot of my friends were going, you know RA, Floyd's not gonna fight Pac Man. The way he walked through Cotto's shots, he's not gonna fight Pac Man,"

If he could tell Floyd one thing:

"Shut the F up, and get in the ring and fight the guy."

RA basically asked every single question every Floyd hater/supporter ever wanted to ask him. Floyd got owned in the interview, mostly because Brian Kenny wasn't doing the interviewing.

Floyd could've been a hands down, unquestioned P4P ATG.

A blood test right after the fight is fine. Void should not go against that, but he did. How accurate can you get? What more could anyone want?
