hopkins chickens out!

id be happy if bhop went out on the throne, than on his shield. he has nothing left to prove, id like the jones jr fight just so he can avenge that one sided ass whoopin he got from roy when he was a god and bhop a mere mortal...but beyond that nah.

Why should Hopkins fight Green anyway!!!! The only reason he was going to fight Roy was for revenge and a payday. Green doesn't offer him any of that. Bernard's last fights are going to be for legacy or money, and Green doesn't offer any of that to him. Hopkins ducked nobody.

 

Hops was supposed to get some good coin...guaranteed 3mill or something. Id love to know where he is getting that elsewhere at the moment, at his age.

 

He's hinted at fighting Adamek before, which I think would probably be at Cruiserweight, and he even mentioned David Haye's name.

 

I dont rate Green very highly, but even still, he wouldve
been a risk for an old Hopkins - probably ending Bernards career.

I wouldnt pay to watch either fighter to be honest.

 

Just because he knocked out Roy does not mean he'd do the same to Bhop. Roy was never a defensive mastermind like Bhop. Roy Jones' defense relies upon reflexes, which have significantly declined. Bhop would weather every combination Green would throw.

He's just trying to milk every cent he can but at the end of the day he knows he can't earn 4 mil for any other fight out there.

He'll be waiting a while before he can get a shot at either of those two opponents and Im sure bhop would not want to go into either of those fights without at least having 1 more fight.
Obviously he would want to test himself at CW before moving up to heavy so you would think Danny Green would be the perfect stepping stone for Hopkins.
