You must have been watching the fight while wearing your favorite pair of de la Hoya fishnets.

    Stop smoking crack...

Oscar is someone who`s accomplishments stand out more than his victories.
wins over Mayorga and Vargas doesn`t bring greatness.

winning multiple championships at multiple weights: :good fair play to the Golden Boy.

fighters he`s beat: OAP`s Chavez, Whitaker and Camacho:huh

So what great fighters has ODLH actually beaten????

    Fair enough!

Now take those same standards and tell me why some of the following names would or should be ahead of DLH on the ATG list; especifically what "great" fighters have they beaten?

    Mayweather
    Mosley
    Winky
    Trinidad
    etc.

In all fairness, Chavez and Whitaker were both great - however - de la Hoya beat them when they were clearly past it. So, while Chavez and Whitaker are great fighters, those weren't great victories.

When de la Hoya had his chance to beat a great fighter - in his prime - he turned in his boxing shoes for track shoes and ran like a *****. Ole Fishnets should have came to win a fight - not a track meet.

ATG fighters do NOT spend the last three rounds of a fight running away from their opponent.

Mosley and tito. He was robbed, while one was on steroids no less. But he still beat them.

If he did enough to win the first 9 rounds. What does it matter if he ran, picked his noes or whatever the **** for the last 3 rounds.

Well, apparently, he didn't do enough to win the first 9 rounds. Hence, ole Fishnets isn't an ATG...

He was robbed. He did enough. One of the most glaring robberies in sports history.

Yup. That further cemented Don King as the most corrupt promoter in boxing history.
