It would be a really stupid plan. All Pacquiao would have to do is say ok and the fight would be on.

    FACTS:

Guarantee a cut off date - NOPE
NFL, MLB, NBA drug testings agencies - NOPE
    Independent agency - NOPE

    Then they start backtracking. :huh

    Schaefer

FH: If there was a third party involved or hired to do the blood-testing, who or what would it be?

Schaefer: I have some suggestions. One of which was actually the one which Top Rank had recommended, which is the agency that does the NFL and Major League Baseball [The National Center for Drug Free Sports, based in Kansas City, Mo.] The problem is they only do urine.

But I'm sure that if they do urine, they could probably retain someone else to do the blood testing as well. If it would be that agency, that would be okay with us as long as it's random, it's urine, it's blood, and it is cut off at a date prior to the fight which maintains the integrity of the tests.

Wonder why they didn't accept it the first time. :huh

    ******************************************************************
    Schaefer

"We are OK to move off USADA," Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer, who is representing Mayweather, told ESPN.com. "What we're saying, and what is important to us, is four things -- that the tests be random, that they include blood and urine and the time frame, meaning when do you stop the tests before the fight but know they will still be effective. Three of them we have agreed on -- random, blood and urine. So now it is a matter of the two sides working out the specifics of the cutoff date to assure it will still be effective."

    Arum

“Schaefer is making it up,” Arum said without hesitation.
    ...
“It is not true, it is just not true. He is making this up now because he looks bad. He is making this up because he is trying to justify it to Mayweather. Let’s see if he can justify it to Mayweather why this fight is now dead.”

Isn't the issue here, the "RANDOM" blood test? And has it been "AGREED" upon? :huh

    ******************************************************************

    Schaefer

"Now that I've learned more about this, boxing now will have an outspoken advocate for blood testing in the sport," Schaefer said. "I plan to ask Nevada to have Travis Tygart explain why blood tests are necessary. This is not about hitting a baseball, throwing a football or hitting a puck. This is a sport that's mano-a-mano, with guys hitting each other's heads. It's important that the strongest testing possible is in place."

    Arum

"No. 2, we would agree to take the blood test in January within 30 days of the fight and any other random blood tests that the Nevada State Athletic Commission elected to do without a timeline," said Arum. "We're so confident that the Nevada Commission would do the right thing that we don't have to put a timeline in there."

    Kizer

GL: As of now have any petitions been filed?

    KK: "No."

    :huh

Good timeline of how this **** has all come to where it is.
I think everyone mistakes refusal of USADA as refusal of blood work altogether.

    WHAT!!??!??
Of course there would be time, you can send them to any clinic to get blood drawn, and have it shipped wherever.
    That is super ****ing easy.
Especially with the money going around for this fight.

I think what he is talking about is filing a petition to NSAC to have the rule changed...I don't think there is time for that as it would take a while to "ammend the rule"...I didn't read the whole post...thought he was the one who said something earlier about having the rule with the NSAC changed. I was sayin that I think it would take a while to have that done.

I think the money to be made means they could change implement the change to get their cut of the money.
I don't see how they could let this slide over a drug policy. This is their biggest fight possible.

    Every interview he gives?

He discredits mosley, then defends fighting baldomir.
He discredits Paul williams, then talks about what a challenge marquez is.

People are getting sick of him double talking.

I was thinking that as well...I kinda thought it was just "a way to sell the fight"...But ESPN said that was not the case in this one.
