Not real sure yet...Me and my chick might be going to Vegas. They got some deals at the Luxor and fight tickets are 50-150...Not to many big fights coming up but I usually post a little something on ESB for people to come if they want...Nobody ever has.

Hey my bad if I come off like a dick on this forum sometimes...not trying to come foul at anyone

We all do it, it's the nature of the beast.
I don't know a whole bunch of serious boxing fans down here, just people I converted while I was in the navy, and even then I still kinda have to convince them to watch fights.
It's a goal to get as many people watching as possible.

Just caught this. He tried to fight Mosley before he fought Carlos...People say "oh he ducked margarito to fight Carlos" when in fact "he settled" for Carlos after Shane (WHO IS A MUCH BETTER FIGHTER THAN TONY COULD DREAM TO BE) decided he didn't want the fight "that soon" or he had a "toothache and vacation"...

Thats what I'm saying though...Shane decides he don't wanna fight too soon and fans say its ok...when Floyd wasn't gonna fight shane to take the manny fight than he was "ducking" Shane..(after the JMM fight MANY fans said Floyd was "ducking shane again" when it was clear the whole time he wanted the PACQUIAO FIGHT...

Dont recall him "discrediting" Paul...Only thing I remember him saying is that "Paul got outboxed by Carlos" in the RA interview...I also remember him giving a ton of credit to Andre Berto and Shane Mosley at the post fight press conference and he recognized that he knew there were great boxers at 147.

Yea I agree on that. It is hard to find "true" boxing fans...alot of people know the main line stuff but they don't get much into the forums and websites..these are the places where the news is more in depth though and you can also start to follow fighters in the lower classes..I watch it from 105-HW..not big on the HW's though

I voted Yes. This move has effectively been a smear campaign by Floyd against Pacquaio where he can give the appearance of wanting to fight without having to actually do so to the mainstream, and cast a bit of doubt on the legitimacy of Pacquiao's wins/p4p status. Had Pacquaio agreed to Floyd's terms to the letter, I believe Floyd would have just come up with something to get out of the fight anyway. I don't think Floyd is physically afraid of Pacquiao, but he is afraid of losing his zero(which he technically shouldn't have anyway as Castillo can attest to) and his claim to being the best fighter ever in his own mind and in the minds of a few of his fans. As long as he doesn't test himself, we'll never know one way or the other what he could have been. It's somewhat similar to people wondering what Tyson could have been with better people around him, some people say he'd have been the greatest Heavyweight ever. Floyd can claim himself as the best, as apparently as long as he believes it and a few people back his claim, that's good enough for him without having to prove it.

He said "he got his ass beat by whats that dudes name?"
Making it sound like he wasn't worth the time.
Dude, you cannot deny his antics. Even if he is the most skilled boxer alive, outside the ring he contradicts himself and talks out of both sides of his mouth.
I will never talk against his skill, just the level of competition he takes on, and the manner in which he talks about other boxers.
    I hate these qoutes.
    "Mosley, who got 5 losses?"
"I got 12 million to fight baldomir"
"I am the best boxer to ever put on a pair of gloves"

if you're the best, you don't need to say it, the fans will.

Nice post!:good So you believe Floyd planned on getting out in way or another the whole time...I ALMOST AGREE but it was clear to me that Floyd was coming back TO FIGHT PAC not DUCK HIM...I mean, from announcing the JMM fight on the day of the Hatton-Pac fight, to hiring Golden Boy to represent him, thus keeping his people out of the mix because he knows Arum HATES dealing with Floyd's team...Along with the fact that Floyd could have ducked him with the

    "50/50" split...
    glove size
    weight
Date (i remember alot of fans saying Floyd was "ducking Pacquiao" when he supposedly wouldn't do the fight March 13th and he DID AGREE TO IT)

I TRULY BELIEVE FLOYD DIDN'T THINK MANNY WOULD NOT WANT TO SUBMIT TO THE TESTS....HE HAD NO WAY OF KNOWING...

EVERYTHING THAT ANY PAC FAN IS BASED ON "FLOYD'S IMAGE" AND THE DISLIKE FOR HIM...FLOYD SIMPLY HAD ONE DEMAND...THAT THEY BOTH BE RANDOM DRUG TESTS BY BLOOD..SIMPLE AS THAT...

Also about how "Floyd would come up with something else if Manny said "yes" to the drug test"..I DISAGREE ON THAT AS WELL...LEONARD ELLERBE IS ON RECORD SAYING THAT THIS IS THE ONLY THING HOLDING UP THE FIGHT AND THERE IS NO MORE....You can assume he is lying but than I can do the same and assume Pac is lying...difference is I have video of him giving blood 24 days before the fight..Youtu#e got Roach saying on dec 13 that they will agree to ANY testing...you dont have these items..ur argument is really based off Floyd and your assuming He "ducked" fighters in the past..

    NICE POST THOUGH:happy

Floyd was stating the truth in paul did get his ass whooped by Carlos in the first fight...I dont think thats discrediting Williams...juss saying what it is..

ABOUT THE QUOTES...FLOYD REALLY NEEDS A PUBLIC ADVISOR:rofl ..HE ISN'T VERY "BOOK SMART"...HE STUTTERS...He really needs a public advisor (LEONARD DONT FIT THIS IMO) who will teac him how to talk to the media and how to answer media questions...I don't think he knows how to think before he speak and when your answering media questions LIVE you have to think before you speak, ESPECIALLY IN THIS DAY WHERE THE SMALLEST THING YOU SAY WILL GET TWISTED UP IN PIECES....

I know Floyd is an *******..he can be a dickhead as we have seen on camera...straight idiot..but he has his good side too and I think he good at heart...I mean he don't go around stealing **** (other than his opponent gym bag):rofl..as a fighter I think he is unique in his defense...We may never see another fighter that has the type of defense this guy has...Sure, it isn't crowd pleasing but it get's the W...His resume IMO USED to be overrated and is now underrated...I mean the level of competition was world class in 17 of his 40 fights...he has only 1 disputed Win and most fighters who have no losses have 3 or 4 disputed wins...I had him winning 114-113 in the JLC 1 fight...he has beat some top 10 guys in the world in Chico, Ricky, and JMM...on top of that he does it while never being knocked down...

THOUGH THE "0" IS OVERRATED THESE DAYS, IF YOU SIT BACK AND LOOK AT ALL THESE FIGHTERS...NO FIGHTER STILL HAS THEIR "0" AFTER FACING 17 WORLD CHAMPIONS..I THINK FLOYD'S "0" IS ONE HE DESERVE TO BRAG ABOUT...

Not to mention that he was trying to do whatever he could to fight the BEST FIGHTER IN THE WORLD IN MANNY PACQUIAO

It should also be remembered that Mayweather called Winky out, Winky agreed, Floyd peed his pants and ran away.

Folks, he has done this before, this is nothing new from Flolyd.

It's true that Floyd had no way of knowing that Pacquaio wouldn't agree to his drug testing specifications, but he had to think there was a decent chance that he wouldn't. Pacquaio is a proud fighter and by all accounts his team is tough in negotiations. If he had given in to Floyd's demands, he would effectively be displaying that Floyd is the man in control, as while Pacquaio had demands of his own, his demands had some precedent, such as Floyd coming in overweight for the Marquez fight, while Floyd's demands are based on nothing but hearsay(started by his dad) and are unprecedented in boxing. The fact that Floyd is asking it of Pacquaio with no proof is an insult in itself, as Floyd is trying to paint the situation as Pacquaio is guilty until proven innocent. Despite this, Pacquaio has agreed to almost all of what Mayweather has asked for, but it's still not good enough for Floyd.

Had he backed out of the fight for other reasons, it would have had a very negative effect on Floyd's already fairly negative perception among many of the boxing public. This way hurts Pacquaio somewhat, gives the appearance that Floyd tried to make the fight, and the controversy takes the focus off Floyd not fighting him.

And there's no way to prove that Floyd has ducked anyone, however, these are the general consensus top Welterweights over the last few years(Shane, Margarito, Williams, Clottey, Cotto, Floyd). Only one of them has not fought any of the others. That's very telling in my eyes. In less than one year at the division, Pacquaio made a fight with one of them. At a catchweight to be fair, but the point is the fight was made. Pac proved he's willing to fight one of the best. At the same time, when Mosley was calling for Floyd to fight him(which everyone wanted to see), Floyd picked Marquez(which nobody was calling for) and called him a bigger draw, comparing their fight to Duran versus SRL. What Floyd didn't say was that Duran had fought about eight times at Welter against solid competition before facing SRL versus zero for Marquez, and that Duran was a career lightweight while Marquez was a career Featherweight. Floyd also signed to come in at 144 lbs to give the appearance of a more competitive fight, said on 24/7 that the weight was made, then came in at 146 lbs. Sketchy stuff.

If Floyd signs to say, fight Clottey or someone of that caliber, assuming this fight isn't happening, then I would be more amenable to thinking that he's not dodging Pacquaio. But I doubt he will.
