    I'm gonna enjoy this.

    Probbaly over a decade to late but it is what it is.

    By recent performances I'd go with Holyfield but Botha will be live in this.

    Botha is going to have 80,000 ruckus fans on his side. He's the African. I just hope we don't see another boxing riot if the Buffalo loses.

    You can't be sure Botha will have the fans on his side.

    I';m sure there will be plenty for Holyfield.

    Uganda is a long road away from South Africa.

    Considering the hell he gave Valuev,Holyfield will surely win this fight.

    Personally,I think only a devastating knockout by Wladimir will persuade him to end his career.

    We are assuming that Wlad is the possible next opponent of Holyfield after Botha. I'm thinking more that Holyfield's team will target Haye. This fight is actually more interesting.

    "Africa" is quite a big place you know ..

    If anything botha should be watching hte judges given that he's a WHITE South African, fighting in a black nation.

    I never realized Botha had so few losses, and to the absolute best opponents at the time. (Moorer being the exception)


    Seems like he's always be put in there with either the absolute best, or nobody, C level fighters, whom he can handle pretty well for the most part. LOL


    I guess his draw against Shannon Briggs was the high point of his career.

    That's true actually - I was wondering who would be more popular in this match-up, both in terms of the judging and the crowd support. I'd have thought though that in Uganda Botha would be the more popular whilst if it were in say, Nigeria, Holyfield would be so.

    The fight is now postponed to Feb 20.


    KAMPALA, Uganda -- Evander Holyfield's return to the ring against Francois Botha has been postponed to late February to give the fighters more time to prepare.

    Pro Box Promotions manager Eddie Bazira said Monday that the fight will be held Feb. 20 in Uganda instead of the originally scheduled Jan. 16 date.

    Organizers predict a crowd of about 80,000 at Kampala's Nambole Stadium and a potentially big pay-per-view payout for the cash-strapped Holyfield, a former four-time champion who has won only five of his last 12 contests.

    The 47-year-old American has not fought since losing a points decision to Nikolai Valuev a year ago. Botha is coming off a draw with Pedro Carrion of Cuba in October.

    Why? These two need to retire.

    Holyfield was a great fighter, i remember him winning his first title, by defeating the formidable Dwight Braxton(Muhammed Qawi), it was Holy's 11th fight. Duva was jumping with joy.:D

    Moorer was a great fighter. 4-time champ in two weight classes is nothing to sneeze at.
