Would Mayweather Jr. ever fight Cotto? If so, who wins?

nah this is a misconception. cotto is not slow, just ask mosley. yes floyd is faster but i don't think floyd has the power to stop cotto off his tracks. floyd could win a decision, but the styles match-up on this one favors cotto and it would be a very hard night for floyd.

 

floyd will beat him, the hard part for floyd is mustering the courage to accept the fight.

lol that's because Pac has a granite chin, and Floyd's never really showed any kind of true resiliency or durability in the ring. He's been hit with some good shots, but he's never taken a sustained beating thus his chin and damage resistance really hasn't been measured. He's never been in a real fight.

Just posted the emmanuel Augustus fight, you should watch it. Also his fights with Jesus Chavez, Demarcus Corley, first Castillo fight, and the flush right hand DLH landed on Floyd when he was coming off the ropes at 154lbs.

Floyd has displayed a great chin and damage resistance throughout his career. You'd be a fool to say otherwise. Hell Castillo busted his body up and Floyd didnt quite. You should also watch the 11th round of that fight when Mayweather gets the best of CAstillo in the pocket.

 

people thinks just because pac had beaten cotto, this is an easy fight for floyd? people should look at the style's match up and this one doesn't favor floyd at all. floyd may won in the end because he is a greater fighter but it would not be an easy night and it would not be a stoppage.

This is an easy fight because Joshua Clottey proved it would be an easy fight for Floyd. Hell I picked Pac to KO Cotto in 5 rounds because of his performance against Clottey. Its clear he was done as a force at welter.
