not necessarily. If Bernard could have fitted in an "easy" voluntery prior to the mandatory bout against Poonsawat then I think that would have been good for Irish boxing, Dunne and Peters.

 

Bernard didnt even deserve a shot at that title nevermind an easy voluntary.You earn your voluntarys after you defeat your mandatories.And if you cant defeat your mandatories then you shouldnt be holding the belt in the 1st place....

Bernard didnt deserve his shot but took it and won it and if you win it then you are entitled.

If you can fit a voluntary in before you are mandated to face the mandatory challenger then you would be an idiot not to. Therefore you probably wouldnt.

 

Your bias for bernard dunne stops you from being reasonable about this..... dunne was cordobas voluntary and poonsawat was cordobas mandatory for 15 months i believe so poonsawat shouldnt have to wait for dunne because poonsawat was mandatory for long enough and deserved his shot and because poonsawat is world class he defeated dunne by ko in quick fashion because at the end of the day poonsawat is world class dunne isnt.
