I seen Luevano when he was a kid he was like 12 years old and won best fighter of the tournament and The Blue And Gold invitationals in South El Monte. He won about every amatuer title you can think of but just fell short of making the Olympic team,lost to Rocky juarez in the trials. Hope he upsets juanama he is from nearby La Puente been some good pros from Puente like Tony Baltazar,Frankie Baltazar,Mike Anchondo,Nick Martinez(from Basset though).

When the Baltazars were doing there thing? Damn you must be a real OG ,cause they were fighting back in the late 70s early 80s. Yey Tony was a big puncher surprised he never grabbed a title he fought between Ligtweight and Welter. But mostly at lightweight, when he went to Welter he dropped Mcgirt on his ass,but didnt do much else at Welter after that. I think Frankie got a title shot but lost To Bazooka Limon,and Anchondo was WBO champ for a little bit before losing to Jorge Barrios.
You never heard of Nick Martinez? He was nicknamed Toro stocky buffed out vato he was a fringe contender at JM and Middleweight. He was ranked for a little bit by one of the Organizations and beat Alfred Ankamah but had to retire cause of a detached retina after losing to Some Russian dude.

 

I'm from the West Side originally, I'll always be a westsider (WS), but I was in SGV for about 6-7 years just before I moved last year, my closest friends live in Baldwin Park on Puente and Willow, and in Covina.

I forgot, one of the other cities I lived in was Hacienda Heights.

So I lived in Hacienda Heights, Rosemead, and Sur El Monte, all in a span of 7 years. I have to be a little bit SGV no?

Yup:good I lived in all those cities you mentioned too. Never lived out on the West side though.
I lived in San Pedro for a minute,but been in SGV and East La area most of my life.
