no he is not....he is not the one who is taking someone to court for defamation of character....what a ****ing baby pac is...not only will he not take a test which he will have to do in court I would think but he dues the guy....lol
For those who say Pac is humble, he may talk humble but his actions on the table not humble at all. He can never have his way always. No.
First, Pac going up to 147 is not a concession since it was not humanly, physically possible for Hoya to go any lower then 147. So if Pac wanted this fight, it was going to be at 147. There was no other choice here. Second, Pac is the first fighter I know who asks for millions in penalties for coming in over the limit. Hoya could have said that this much money was an unprecedented request, but he agreed, cause he wanted the fight to get made. That is a concession my friend. Remember the days when people was calling Floyd a puss because he wouldnt fight in England for Hattons titles and to fight in front of 60 000 fans? Well look, it just goes to show that whenever others ask Pac to compromise, he wont do it. I have nothing against tough negotiating. That usually includes give and take though. If this is a joke its not very funny. What would you have said to a welter title fight at 143? DO YOU call that a concession? We have been over this. Floyd doesnt feel the current system in place by the NSAC is sufficient. So he is asking for more. It is an inconvenience to Pac. But this is my whole point, Pac, apparently, does not ever let himself be inconvenienced for the sake of a fight getting made. Though he routinely asks others to do so for him. So again, when was the last time he made concessions for the sake of boxing?
C&P from this thread: http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?p=4079424 Oscar cheated on the scales in order to avoid the huge penalty payment of $3M per pound over 147 that was stipulated. Unfortunately the goons that tampered with the scales went too far and made it very obvious (They should've only shaved 2 lbs). Remember Pacquiao being confused about his supposed weight of 142 when he just weighed 146 on different scales prior to and post weigh in? Oscar was 149 at the time of the weigh in -- a 6 million FAIL. Fearing an investigation, team Golden Boy opted not to rehydrate Oscar overnight. Rather, they had him continue to cut until the unofficial weight was taken on Saturday and all suspicion of foul play could be denied. Then they jacked him with the IVs. Oscar looked like hell during the fight, but that was the $6M gamble he was willing to take. Think about it. Manny being the smaller guy coming up in weight is unofficially 148 on fight night. What would be the point in him shedding 6 pounds to "make" weight?
DLH was the one trying to make the fight with the smaller man. It makes no difference that Oscar couldn't go any lower. Who was moving farther from their previous fighting weight? Again, DLH was desperate to make the fight and he conceded to the overweight penalty as assurance to the smaller guy already traveling well north that the weight disparity wouldn't be even greater. Where does Floyd live? When is the last fight Floyd had outside the USA? At the same time, I don't fault him for not wanting to fight Ricky in England if the fight could be made in his home city. I'd give you credit for this one if Pac was insisting on fighting Hatton in the Philippines. My point is that they asked for something aggressive and worked out a compromise somewhere in between. This is like the typical bidding process on house. Would it make sense to bid the most you're willing to pay on your initial attempt? What is the likelihood that the seller would counter with something above your initial bid? Pac is willing to let himself be inconvenienced for the sake of the fight getting made. Just not to the extent Floyd is demanding. Much like Cotto refused to go to 143. Manny has made a counter offer and to date Mayweather has not accepted.
Thanks for resorting to name-calling. Just showed me how old you were. Pacquiao increasingly became more charitable as his purse splits grew. Charitable requests from all over the nation increased. He buys entire schools textbooks, even pays for medical procedures and he rarely, RARELY ever turns away people with an open hand. People have even often said that he'll end up broke given the rate at which he gives money away. He spent time delivering food in Manila a little more than week PRIOR to his fight with Cotto and was one of the only athletes on Time's top 25 list. For his efforts he received the Gusi Peace Prize which is the Asian equivalent of the Nobel Peace Prize. One, you wouldn't know two shits about what it is to be a humanitarian. Two, you're ignorant of the good deeds he actually does AND/OR are just a Floyd nuthugger a bit too hard, you choose to hate a man you know absolutely nothing about. You envy Floyd handing out bag lunches on 24/7 because that's the full extent of his humanitarianism. When he's not passing out lunches, he's rolling in Bentley Coupes, showering crowds at Vegas clubs with Dom Perignon, counting money and uploading it on Youtube.
Hooked on Phonics is great for adults as well. It's in response to the poster saying Pacquiao is as money grubbing and corrupt as they come.
