I can't make it on here as much as I would like anymore, so there are people on here a lot these days that I am unfamiliar with, but my favourite posters are (in no order):

Addie (the Manny Pacquiao of ESB) :D
Once was a raw and rather one-dimensional young gun, but is now developing at a rapid rate, already a great and much-improved poster, the prince will become king someday soon

Sweet Pea (the Sugar Ray Leonard of ESB) :smoke
The young phenomenon who seems peerless even amongst the gnarled veterans of the Classic. No-one, myself included, can unload abuse on the hate-filled vegetables of the General like this acid-tongued genius

McGrain (the Archie Moore of the Classic Forum) :deal
I have no idea how old McGrain is, but his longevity on this forum is quite outstanding, and his air of composure and wisdom are thoroughly mongoose-like

I can't really be arsed doing any more of these, but I admire Mantequilla tremendously, I always enjoy Sweet_Scientist's posts, I adore arguing with Bill Butcher as I know he enjoys fighting with me, and I think Fleaman, GPater, Robbi, and The Cobra (is he even still around??) are all great great posters. I have probably missed many greats out, but this is all I can think of at the moment.

Oh, I almost forgot about Lefthook31 and Trampie.....

I think that I do get the respect that I deserve, including from some posters with verry different opinions. I don't mind being the maverick voice, and don't expect people necisarily to accept my opinions.

Having said that I do love to expose people to my opinions, and give them a strong counterpoint. Lets face it, it is in every posters interest to come up against a strong counterpoint, perhaps myself as much as anyone.

As I always say to ya', even when I cannot comprehend a certain fighter beating another, I like to absorb the knowledge you impart like a sponge, it's invaluable.

    I second that

But in my defence, I was badly intoxicated via alcohol.

While Im here, I would like to nominate Frankenfrank, China-hand-joe, Anglo-saxon & Red Rooster as the best for comedy value.

Im trying to figure why Sweet Pea asked me to post the Jimmy Jacobs vs Nat Fleischer feud story and never responded?

This. And it was only small anyway. Why do you need gratification Slakka, I'm sure he appreciated it, after you accused him of probably not even knowing who they were:lol:

A couple of greats quality wise not mentioned that don't seem to post much now would be Ted Spoon and Meta5. Their debates with Stoney could have sold magazines back in the day. We could have split their debate and given the two opposing stances. Anyone remember point/counterpoint that Jeff Ryan and that other guy used to do?

So many good posters have eased back or disappeared altogether. I actually fear one or two poster from yore may have even passed away.

I've always wondered that. If one of us dies, we'll never know.

Not like someones relative is gonna' log on and say ''Sorry to have to tell everyone but Sweet Pea died today. He smoked a joint and didn't realise he'd walked into the road and got hit by a Bus.''
