If your referring to our MBF friend Brooklyn1550, then no he is not dead but is going through a very serious family problem. :good
Meta5 was excellent. He's one of my personal favorites, actually, not only because of his knowledge and skill of argument but because his personality really shined throught. The guy had class. Spoon is another golden poster. And a character too. You too, JT. I haven't forgot any of the fights I've picked out here -particularly the good ones. You and I had alot of fun exchanging shots over Hagler-Duran and Jones.
I've always wondered what happened to RoccoMarciano. You could not have kept him out of here with an elephant gun at one stage then he was totally non existent. I have vague memories of him mentioning health drama's at one stage. Not the worlds greatest knowledge but plenty busy and enigmatic in his own madcap way. Used to keep the ball rolling. I think i heard somewhere Zivic1941 is in good health but he too disappeared 100%. I know his spare time was short.
He is back under a new name, dont think he wants anyone to know tho because of the way he left the forum, he feels it will continually get thrown at him in debates - which is probably true.
I have a pretty sweet Dawn of the Dead (78') poster at my Dad's house. I don't have any of my posters with me now, though.
Cheers mate. You blokes are just so articulate and good with your prose i'd often feel a bit left behind, but we had some good debates. We had a big ones with Hagler-Duran and Jones for sure, and another goody with Duran - Hearns at 147. May have even been in General that one. I've actually got keen again the last couple of months (not for massive debate so much lol) and have decided one of the best contributions i can make is to post some odd tidbits on a consistent basis from my collection of material than some may well find fascinating. To hold myself to it i'll say Angelo Dundee's thoughts on a Holmes - Marciano match will be first in the next couple of days. Tho very short (i'm looking for short and profound tidbits rather than having to slave over the typewriter) it carries a couple of insightful comments and i'm sure Marciano fans will love it.
Dinamita was up there with the legendary Blocky for the ranking of most the most relentless poster ever. The only difference between the two was one hunted down Calzaghe fans, the other Kessler fans. Also Blocky had some fab abs.
Shake off the modesty, big man. I count yours among the best I've had --it ain't often I get put on the ropes but you managed to do it more than once. I wanted to go kick a kangaroo outta spite after one of them...
Surprise no one has mentioned Whatt a Rock i usually agree with him and he seems to be a knowledgable post, and doesnt pretend to be a know it all like some.
:rofl You're too kind mate. One thing i am glad of is you letting me get away with quite a bit of Duran banging when the inevitable Duran - Leonard topics come up. One sometimes has to go too far one way to find an impact. But.........you know exactly where i rate Duran when all is said and done. I remember you asking in one of our debates, and i think i may have had him one spot ahead of even you. Certainly in the ballpark.
