****, not only is he one of my favourite posters but I get on really well with him as well. There will be quite a few of us that come out of the woodwork and mention him now, he's a well respected poster and a top lad as well:good Well remembered Anarci. I assume the last bit of your post refers to me:tong
One of these days you are gonna admit how wrong you were and how much more i know about boxing than you! Remember ESB you heard it here first.:bart Remember i said PRETEND to know it all
That's where threads like these are always painful and unfair I could sit here and hammer names for 30 minutes and still miss people out. A lot of names i was most familiar with don't post much anymore by the looks. Holmes' Jab is another goodie of that irk that just popped into my head. Look at a guy like Manassa, used to put more time than anyone here in but is rarely seen now. Whether one agreed with him at times or not, he laid it all on the table and would post endlessly to get his point and stance across. If he got busy again he'd have to be, at a wild guess, in the top 5% bracket of posters. Haven't seen him for a bit, he didn't get caught committing that perfect murder he used to fantasize about did he?
No, and again, Manassa is someone I really respect and get along with. Last spoke to him a few weeks ago; he was working on his top 100, so I guess he's gone into a bit of an exile. Anarci: I really do NOT claim to know it all, I often ask questions and admit to being wrong. You do come up with some interesting bits of info but I find your bias for fighters get in the way of objectivity, and therefore, quality posting.
Maybe occasionly I subconsciously favor one fighter over the other but Overall i think im pretty neutral. I know what my favorite fighters weaknesses are and their strengths. For instance guys Some of my favorite guys are just underrated on this forum like Chavez,Ricardo Lopez,Delahoya,Michael SPinks. Some of you dont know that my other favorites are Duran,Arguello,Ali but i feel that they get their due here so thats why you dont hear me speak about them so much.
Don't see them post a bunch anymore (But I have slowed down myself), but I always enjoyed Doc mcCoy and Salsanchezfan Janitor, John Thomas, Mr. Magoo, Chris pontius come to mind!
I read it. I thought there'd be more to it though, considering how irritated you seemed at the idea of posting such a time consuming tale.
META5 never did post much, but whenever he does find the time his are some of the most in-depth and educational posts you'll ever read. Great poster.
I have a feeling you still hold a grudge against me for our first little encounter. A word of advice: internet grudges are lame. I've gotten over it, you're definitely a more knowledgable poster than I originally assumed, which is evident by me not hounding you relentlessly after every post you make. Rest assured, that would be the case if you hadn't already proven yourself. You're on point about WhatARock though, me and him see eye to eye on more topics than just about anyone else I could name. He's taken over Brooklyn1550's spot in that regard.
I've a good few DVD's, each ranging from 4-8 fights. Most of the time, unless there isn't a substantial amount of a fighter or fights I'm looking for, I'll just get my videos from the net. Youtube is obviously the standard, but sites like Megaupload, Boxingvideosonline.com, etc have some rare stuff you wouldn't see anywhere else. The DVD's I do have are all comprised of stuff you can't find on the net, at least not yet. I try to view as much of everything I speak about as I can, otherwise I'll try to do extensive research on it. Not nearly as much as I used to though. I'm really not even one of the best posters on the site anymore (if ever). I used to write essay length articles and get into multi page debates, putting a lot more effort into getting my point across. Nowadays I usually just make short remarks and rely on my reputation to get me by. I'm not much of a debater anymore. I just don't have the fire in the belly that I used to.
