Sturm deserved the win but it wasn't because he was that good, Oscar was so out of shape. It was by far the worst Oscar ever looked physically

I remember watching and thinking he drank a milk shake or something to be sure he would make weight.
    He looked flabby.

Oscar's gameplan from the get go was wrong. He came in thinking he'd take the fight to Sturm and stood mostly all on the isnide with the bigger, stronger guy.Plus I bet he didn't think Sturm's jab, accracy and dual stance would be that good. The first round was crazy,de la Hoya threw over 100 punches.
Sturm did get control over the fight as it progressed while there were several very close rounds in the fight just because Oscar was outlanding him big and Sturm was just landing clean, hard but rare shots.

Oscar thought he could just KO him and go home. He didn't plan on going many rounds and probably knew he wouldn't fair well considering the awful shape he was in.

Yeah,I think he looked at the guy's record.Saw inexperience,no punching power and thought he would have a easy one.

    Wrong.

He was in horrible shape and underestimated Sturm, Sturm deserved the decision. Oscar's head was snapped back plenty but they were mainly jabs, Oscar despite looking like **** did hurt Sturm a few times. Not a horrible decision but Sturm should've gotten the nod and shame on DLH 4 not rematching Sturm

Oscar was fat, and Strum was on. Funny thing is at 154 Oscar whip the fighter from Spain for the wbc belt, but Strum got KO'ed.

Total myth. Oscar won the fight, and it wasn't a hard call to make. I was ringside. How the hell can people say Sturm won the damn fight when he refused to throw any punches outside of an occasional jab?

Oscar was tired, he couldn't hurt him, he was out of shape and he STILL managed to throw punches, and he won that fight on heart and desire alone. Two things Sturm apparently lacks.

you score fights on aggression and activety. Supposed to score punches landed, sturm landed more punches. Hell look at Oscars face after score is announced.

    Sturm, like everyone else, 116-112.

that was the worst I have ever seen DLH fight. It looked like he had never seen a jab before.

Clear robbery, as I could not find enough rounds that were close to even give DLH a draw.

And I don't call many fights robberies.
