Realistically... Which UK fighter from 140-154 could test Mayweather?

With Mayweather opting to fight Matty Hatton as most people believe it will be a scary mismatch since he isn't even the best Welter in the UK... another question that could be asked is who would offer the best test to Mayweather from the British Isle...

I'll probably get slated for this but I have had a beer or three but am leaning towards Paul McCloskey, Kell Brook or Ryan Rhodes...

I know most matches will be seen as a miss match but is Matthew Hatton really the best we have to offer?

 

Nobody. Britain retired producing great fighters awhile back. We need a resurgence, badly.

 

I can name only two greats we have produced in the last twenty years.

Calzaghe and Lewis.

 

Kell Brook? Come on the guy has fought nobody until he fights someone of any significance it's all if buts and maybes.

 

Khan would test him till Mayweather started landing.

Give Khan four or five years with Roach and he think he could become rather special. This of course assumes he can get passed Maidana in March : /

 

I was impressed with his last fight but Maidana will be a bore-fest. I reckon within 3 years Frankie Gavin has more then enough to beat him. Roach is a great trainer but sooner or later someone will land on that old china again. Its a certainty.

 

Wont beat him but if Ryan Rhodes wins the WBC title then I wouldn't mind seeing Floyd take him on at least there is something at stake what exactly is the point in Floyd-Matthew Hatton.

 

I agree...I think that Roach is doing a terrific job in breaking Khan down and re-building his style. Who knows, this is a fight that could be made inside 2 years...$$$$...££££...$$$$...:think

 

Amir Khan is the only boxer good enough to get near Mayweather.
