I've got it too (as well as just about anything else Rosario had on film) and have only watched it 15-30 times. If you happen to watch it again holler out the exact time and i'll have a look.

Rosario - Bramble had nothing to do with Luck tho. Rosario mugged him all thru and it was always going to be him prevailing.

Perhaps so there....... Yet, Bramble was a goddamn 4 to 1 fav. going in..... But I know now his skills were overrated...... Bramble NEVER recovered from the loss to Rose..... By 1990, Bramble was a stone to be stepped over.....

I've got some takes too on this one.

Bramble ans Donald Curry followed eerily similar paths with Curry's carrying a bit more quality.

Both came off a solid foundation before laying some really good wins on the table. Bramble showed real class in beating the pressure type Mancini then backing up not long after to beat the streaking fast boxer type in Crawley.

Both wins (well 3) showed fine form and plenty of substance. On the back of this he was 4-1 fave vs Rosario when he never ever should have been. Many mags had somehow found a way to rate him #3 P4P in the world but even without hindsight we should see that two wins over Mancini and a win over Crawley should not have got him that much milage.

For goodness sake Rosario was coming off one of his best ever performances and many thought he pipped Camacho. Whether one agree's or not doesn't matter, the fact is Rosario had found form. Rosario was the hardest 135 puncher in the world, and could well be the biggest banger ever in the division.

Bramble was a deserved fave but 4-1 is ridiculous.

Anyway both Bramble and Curry once beat never again matched their previous performances unfortunately. I think Bramble was a very good fighter going into the Rosario match, but he was a helluva head case.

I love this fight, Rosario and Davis were my two fave lightweights at the time.

Rosario was thought to be fading by the time he iced Bramble on HBO in 1986..... Rosario had been KO'd by Ramirez and then dropped the nod to Camacho prior to that..... The betting was, Bramble was streaking and Rosario was falling........ The odds makers were wrong.......

I was pissed at Howard Davis for choking against Rosario in 1984....... All Davis had to do was stay on his feet in round 12 for Christ sake...... Then Davis gets caught and drops........ Davis had speed and reflexes, but not much power or a chin.......

I have Davis' KO loss to McGirt too........ Opening round, Davis gets caught with a huge overhand right from McGirt.... FIGHT OVER!!!

Not sure why they thought he was falling after the Macho performance. But yes, they were oh so wrong.

Howard was worried about the scoring and went out and consciously attempted to take the last round. He was unlucky as much as anything, Rosario was such a great puncher and the finish was oh so close.

Yeah Davis was gonski by then and was terrible vs Camacho even earlier. McGirt was a fine fighter tho wasn't he.

I lost my "Camacho-Davis" tape of 1987-circa.... I saw it and taped it..... I'm not sure where it is anymore...... I recall that Davis claimed he fought with a fever and had the flu going in....... Davis merely lost a decision........

Davis also had the draw with a 19 year old Mel Taylor in 1986....... I got that around..... I think that draw with Taylor is how he squeezed in that shot at 140 against McGirt.?.?

Who's that broad in the Avatar? I've seen her before.........

Naw.... Just checked out Davis........... He lost to Joe Manley and drew with Taylor in '86 before losing to Camacho in '87.......... Davis was lucky to get that '88 shot at McGirt......... Dana Rosenblatt KO 2 Davis was the end of the book for Davis.......

I can't remember her name, seriously lol. I think the draw did get him the shot. Wouldn't be surprised if he did go into Camacho not on song, he looked terrible.
