I had it 116-112 Oscar....the best case for trinidad was a draw...

 

Cotto did it against Mosley and he still took the decision.

You can't ignore the majority of the rounds regardless of you feel about the fighter you dip****.

Don't have the fight in front of me to re-score, but I feel De la Hoya won that fight.

 

Oscar won big. A judge is not allowed to change his card.

 

We tend to frame the question, Did Oscar do enough to win?
But we could also frame it did Tito do enough to win? That small adjustment in thinking might be the decisive factor here.

 

Even though he was winning the late rounds, Tito looked clueless.

Running in those championship rounds is the biggest mistake of DLH's career. It definitely cost him some spots on the ATG hierarchy!

 

Maybe he had won a few rounds more than Tito but if he does nothing in the rounds why can't a judge score a 10-8 in favour of Tito.

Others here have said he won 7 rounds enough to win going into the tenth so assuming scoring was normal thats 88-83 going to the tenth, so if scored 10 - 8 against De La Hoya for doing nothing which is in their right, the score becomes 113 - 112 in favour of Tito so relatively close but not unheard of or illegal, I personally think it should have been a draw.

 

i had DLH up, but as a pro, he should have known better than to give that many rounds away at the end, knowing that judges cannot be relied upon

 

Oscar landed over 100 more punches than Tito. A judge can't change his card later in a fight because he does not like the way another fighter is fighting. Oscar won the fight, but Don King's judges did not give him the win. Gil Clancy told Oscar he had the fight won, and he did. Those who worship Haye want to claim that Oscar ran? Haye ran the entire fight! Oscar did not.

 

No scorecard is needed. DLH won that fight, hands down.

 

You know why cause Tito didnt do anything either, in fact he only won those last 3 cause of default since Oscar ran but tito never hurt Oscar.
