i dont get it--everyone who meets mundine says he is a good bloke, the contenders even said he was ok on the meet and greet

Friends saw him at jamberoo park one day and said he was excellent to all .

Could it be he is just the worst self promoter in history cause Ali has done it all before.

Could it be that he is actualy a decent bloke.

    Just not a rocket surgeon.

And takes real bad advice on public relations work,:admin

Mundine seems like a typical dude with above average sporting ability. Nothing is more evident than this when he was smelling his own farts on celebrity Big Brother a few years back :yep

There are more arrogant ****s on here and this is a fact :deal

    Welcome to ESB Brian. :good

Never heard a person say he's a bad bloke in meeting him. I've met him away from the cameras.. quiet, unassuming and down to earth.

The press have played on him since day one. The cards he throws back are usually jokers in his own face.

Outlandish comments are there for the Tall Poppy to fall in a heap.

i met him in sydney near paddington one day .....one of the coolest guys you can meet. He was extremely polite and very engaging. He really took time to ask me questions. He left me with a very high impression of him as a person...

I think we just need get off the anti mundine hate train....its boxing not gold ffs

I think Anthony probably really is a good person, i just wish he would have tested himself in the 2nd half of his boxing career. Real shame he didn't.

    Agree on both accounts.

He's been a big disappointment in recent times. And any real fans shouldn't have supported it. Potentially, he could have done a lot better after he looked so sharp against Green and in the Soliman rematch.

Well it seems like everything went downhill after his Eye infection. Do you guys think its possible he is still lying about how well it may have healed up. Maybe he is partially blind in one eye and has caused him to be aprehensive about fights?

Mundine was very difficult to tag in the past but it seems like he got hit a lot more after the eye infection and we just passed it of as being a more courageous fighting style...

    just a thought...

You can bet your arse its the excuse he will be coming out with at his retirement speech , I was looking forward to following this kid after i saw him early in his career but post Green fight i suspected he was full of **** , when he ducked Kessler those suspisions were well and truly confirmed . he won't fight anyone decent now , his career is winding down fighting jr middles @ middle weight , Pity he was skillful enough to have made waves but lacked a champions heart imo . Paper Champ with a paper heart . :verysad

Ive met him also at his cafe a few times and he couldnt be a nicer bloke.
Gives heaps off his time and im also dissapointed at his fights of late(except geale) but will always support him no matter who he fights.
