Ok, here's another question: why did anyone outside of Macca, Warren and the Calzaghe's think that Enzo was going to beat the larger, faster, harder-punching Haye?

The fact Macca lost to Swaby early in his career should have suggested something.

Pretty much what you said. Lets not pretend that before the fight everybody thought Haye was going to Blast Enzo out. On this site it was 60-40 Haye and it was 50-50 with the press. There was a only a handful including myself that thought Haye was going to win hands down. The books had Haye a slight favourite. Remember everyone was saying Haye early Enzo late.

Enzo had looked fantastic agaisnt the highly rated Braithwaite who has gone on to do quite well.

You say Haye dealt with Mormeck, lets be honest it was a close fight. Haye was in trouble. It was a fantastic fight but Haye took care off him. I guarentee 2 years ago if Mormeck faced Enzo most would of fancied Enzo's chances.

He also had "coach of the year" Enzo Calzaghe in his corner. People though Haye was dead at the weight and that Enzo had the power and the stanima to casue him problems.

Dont get me wrong Haye would win the fight 9/10 but on the night Enzo bottled it. If Enzo had been as relaxed for the fight as he had been for Braithwaite it would have been allot more competative.

The major difference between the two of them are that Hayes previous 20 fights had been building expirience, Enzos had been building a record.

It makes sense, but he's probably better off calling it quits now.
