Actually i favored PW in the Margarito fight. I wasnt a Margarito fan until after that fight and u can look up my post to prove that.

You can't really blame Goosen, Peterson, or Williams for backing away from a fight with Pavlik. The Martinez fight was a serious wake-up call for a lot of people, including me.

After Williams/Wright, Ring Magazine ranked PW as the #3 guy at 160. A number of posters called that bull****, and claimed PW is a welterweight. I adamantly opposed those guys, and argued vehemently in favor of Paul's ranking at 160. The Martinez fight showed us clearly that I was wrong, and posters like Ring Master and Hermit were right. Paul Williams is a welterweight.

Technically it is not possible for the 4th or 5th best welterweight in the world to "duck" the middleweight champ. At present PW can drop back to '47, and hopefully get the Mosely/Berto winner. Fighting the champ at 160 would ruin Paul's career. A guy who can lose to Quintana, and get the **** beat out of him by Martinez, would take a career threatening beating from Kelly Pavlik.
