No, not yet, probably never. It was a great performance for a comeback fight. But JMM only moved up to 135 to chase Pacquaio, at 147 he just isn't up to much at all. Doesn't enhance FMJ's legacy in anyway really, unless Marquez stays at 147 and actually does something of note.

Then pacquiao has a better legacy, for beating those guys easier than Mayweather?

    Thanks.

    I knew you'd come around.

Only those who dislike Floyd say no. It pretty much solidified him as a master boxer even after a lay-off. I say yes because no one has and imo will make Marquez look that simple in the ring. Hate the man all you want, but he is an excellent boxer.

 Marquez was all over the place just by May using his defense, Size was a huge difference, how about Nonito goes up to 130, and fights Marquez would Marquez's Legacy be enhanced by a Nonito Donaire destruction?

I didn't know that Hatton, Delahoya, Judah, Castillo, Hernandez, Corrales, ..., ... were all supposed to be easy. Especially when Pac beating a couple of the same guys made him great.

So beating a guy easier makes you a better fighter:lol::lol:

You ever heard styles make fights:lol:

    EXHIBIT A

    Taylor beats hopkins twice.

    Taylor loses to Pavilk.

    Hopkins destroys Pavlik.

I could go on all day.:hi:

Very good wins, against strong opponents, but there was an angle with each of those fights.

He fought Hatton at 147 - where Hatton had done nothing but lose to Collazo.

Fought an old DLH, got a SD.

JMM was a small Lightweight, at Welterweight he was tiny. And getting a bit long in the tooth as well - I would certainly class this as an easy fight for FMJ, the other two ^^, not so much.

    Go google "floyd mayweather is..."
Let the auto complete tell you exactly what the average person thinks of him.
That is his legacy, not what a guy with a floyd mayweather avatar thinks.

Beating two of them after Mayweather had already softened them up and exposed them. BTW who looked better against Marquez? Some feel that Pac still hasn't legitimately beat him.

so i guess his win over ivan calderon would be also a huge achievement ,

    The Truth is:

Marquez would lose to any top welterweight even much less skilled , he just doeasnt belong to that weight therefore that win means very little or nothing for mayweather.

Yeah, because we all know pavlik and taylor are going to go down in history as middleweight icons.
