It's well known that after the Manfreddy fight, Corrales made it clear he was done with 130 because he was struggling to make weight. When Mayweather came calling, Corrales stayed at 130 to take the biggest payday of his career and potentially earn a 4 fight deal with HBO (for the winner).

In the fight (have you actually seen it) Corrales was BLATANTLY weight drained, couldn't get off, didn't look anything like his usual self and got put down 5 times. He only fought 2 of the next 11 fights at 130, again for decent paydays against Casa, and finished his career at 149!

The guy was weight drained, don't know what you're not willing to accept what is a fairly well established and credible fact.

Perhaps he was just acting weight drained. If so, why was he not recognised by the Academy for such a concinving performance as a seriously weight drained fighter? :think

Yes. The win over Marquez enhanced Floyd's legacy of ducking true welterweights.

Since when does being a good Lightweight make you a credible Welter?

Hamed was a good 126lber, do you think he could have cut the mustard with Kostya Tszyu at 140?

No, Tszyu beating Hamed at 140 wouldn't have meant ****, and '**** all' is slightly less than Mayweather beating Marquez at 147 means.

Alright, smart ass. Fact is the wrong word. But its pretty obvious Corrales was weight drained. I don't know how anyone could know the circumstances of that fight, then see the performance, and come to any other conclusion, TBH.

Bull**** - and you lose credibility by calling it a fact when it cannot be proven. He was not drained - I ****ing grew up with Chico. I talked to his dad Ray after the fight and he told me Chico couldn't concentrate because of the problems with his ex and the fact that he was already convicted and heading to prison. God Damn!!!
