The shame shitty version of DLH. And Manny's performance was much better.

The 154lb version of oscar was much better than the 145lb version.
I am not even a huge oscar fan, but he definitely looked more able against floyd.

Still past his prime in both fights.

    The first one did.

    The second win did not.

GTFOH you clown, you probably just started watching this sport!:patsch

That was the fight that pretty much made DLH into a cross-over star in the same way wins over Old DLH put Pac and Mayweather put them in the same league!

I know what you're saying. My point is, they both beat a **** version of DLH, arguing over the level of shitness isn't very constructive, because its leveled out by the fact that Manny's performance was significantly better and the fact that he was a former jr flyweight....

    So we have,

    Mayweather's poor performance against a **** DLH.

Manny's great performance against a really **** DLH.

    You are dreaming.
It was all hype to promote De La Hoya. That was not the chavez from 1992.

If you think that fight was competitive, you're a ****ing ******.

Manny Pacquiao's legacy is not his Oscar De La hoya fight.. that just caused people to pay attention to him. His real legacy are his fights with marquez/barrera/morales

No one gives a **** he beat Oscar, they were just surprised how bad oscar looked.

Both small guys, probably wouldn't be fought at 147. I think 140 would be more likely.

    I agree.

At the time, the DLH win was hugely signficant because of the weight from which Manny had risen.

But beating Cotto made it less significant.

I thought about it, but I have enough threads where every floyd mayweather fanatic in the world wants to jump to his defense.
I figure if the most popular site on the internet shows most people think mayweather is a scared/afraid douche/coward I don't need to say a word.

I still feel a little uneasy about that fight. I really think Margarito did irreparable damage to Cotto.
