I think the fact that Cotto went to war with Clottey, got a massive, nasty cut early, but dug deep, worked hard and got the decision disproves that theroy. Just my opinion. He showed real guts, heart and resiliance in the Clottey fight. And they key reason WHY Manny beat Cotto, was because Cotto has, and has always had, a leaky defense.

If you didn't say it, don't worry about it.
I don't consider 1 side beatings of old dudes to enhance legacy's.
    I think good fights do.

Sorry that went over your head.

I think he looked better than ever. Sometimes a break is all you need to come back stronger. Those counter punches were out of this world i must admit.

All Floyd has to do now is beat Israel Vasquez , and he'll be considered the best ever.

No, It was a mismatch ab initio. That JMM had a chance was just the product of hype. If it was on even terms or come in as underdog and then win against the odds, then legacy is enhanced.

100% Correct:good absolute con-job joke & next up is Matthew Hatton for the self preclaimed king of boxing:lol: he's destroyed any legacy he thought he ever had by fighting Marquez & ducking out of the DLH re-match then ducking Margo/Cotto/Mosley/Williams & now Pacman:deal who will he avoid next, is they anyone left for him to run from:lol:

I think it does although I accidently picked "NO". It wasn't a great win, b/c of the difference in weight and size plus given the fact JMM was 36 and just past his best. But the dominating win and the "NAME" of JMM is big. it will look good for his legacy that is for sure but it won't be held in a very high regard like his win over Diego or DLH.

without a doubt hell yes! anyone that says otherwise is just a pure hater. floyd dominated a guy who beat Pac twice. A lot of boxing experts were not sure how Floyd would look and deeming him to be the underdog. Floyd shined on the big stage and put on a boxing clinic on Marques like no one had done before. Let's see Pac do something even remotely close.

    1. Corrales was not weight drained against Mayweather. He would go one to win another championship at 130 beating Casamayor. How can you be weight drained when your winning championships at the same weight years later? Thats a joke. Little known fact, mayweather in his last couple bouts was draining to make weight. Against Emmanuel Augustus Mayweather didnt eat for 3 days before he fought him.

    2. Cotto lost to Clottey. Blame the cut or not. Clottey was outboxing Cotto before the cut. Cotto got on his bike and even if you give the last 2 rounds to Cotto, its very hard to have scored that fight for Cotto.

    3. I'd rate Marquez with Gatti. The opponent does nothing for Floyds legacy, but his performance in the bout gives him extra points. Ala Pac vs DLH.
